Chapter twenty-one

Your pov

I sit at a table with Katsuki,Kirishima, Sero and Kaminari. I slurp my spicy ramen.

"This is so good!!" I say smiling. "You have to try this Bakugou"

I nudge my noodles near him slightly. His rolls his eyes and uses his chopsticks to grab some noodles. He eats some and he shows no emotion.

"It's not terrible" he says plainly.

"What? Bakugou doesn't hate it?? Let me try!!" Kirishima asks.

I put the bowl closer to Kirishima and let him have some. The second he puts it all in his mouth his face goes red.

"Kiri?" I ask trying not to laugh.

He opens his to exhale but he ended up having fire flare out of his mouth. I end up dying laughing. Everytime he tried to talk fire came out of his mouth. He stood up and ran out of the cafeteria. We all wait for him to come back.

He walks back into the cafeteria with a red face and frown on his face. I smile slightly and stand up. I go hug him and rub his back.

"Shh shh. It's okay" I say.

He hugs back and we both eventually let go.

"(Y/N)!! My throat hurts too!!" Sero teases.

I shake my head and roll my eyes.

"Fell better?" I ask Kirishima.

He nods his head. He coughs and smoke comes out of his mouth. I stifle a laugh. I hear Bakugou scoff and get up. He walks out of the cafeteria. I just ignore it and go sit back down.

I finish my ramen and put my dish away. I walk out of the cafeteria to go look for Bakugou. I walk down the halls but I hear footsteps behind me.

"Oh. (L/N). I need to talk to you" I freeze once I hear that.

I turn around slowly and see Aizawa.

"Uh okay!" I say not trying to look suspicious but failing miserably.

"I just wanted to thank you for getting me to safety back at USJ. That was a smart move" his bandages move as he talks.

"Are you feeling any better?" I ask.

"I am actually. I also wanted to congratulate you on making it this far in the festival" he says.

'He might have taken too many pain killer pills'

"Thank you Sensei" I bow.

"Now. Go fight others. Don't do anything stupid" he says.

"I make no promises" I say walking back to the cafeteria.

I walk through the entrance and hear my name being shouted.

"(L/N)!" I look over and see Uraraka with clothes. "Here!"

"What is this?" I ask taking the clothes.

"It's our cheer uniform. We have to compete in the cheer battle" Uraraka said.

"Cheer battle? Okay I guess" I said heading to the changing rooms.

I put it on and blush. This is a little showy. I just shrug it off and put my hair up (if you have long hair, if you have short hair then... I guess ignore that XD)

I walk out onto the field with the girls and then hear whistles from the guys in other classes. I blush and push my skirt down a little lower.

"What is this Class 1-A?? Some kind of fan service?" Present Mic says.

I blush as I feel embarrassed and rage. I use the Pom Pom to cover my face.

"Why do I keep falling for Minetas evil schemes? I even used my quirk to make these outfits" Momo says.

"Looks like someone was dumb enough to listen to Mineta" I say loud enough for her to here.

She glares back at me.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WEARING?!?!" I hear Bakugou yell.

I sigh. "I was told we were doing some kind of cheer battle but I guess that was some kind of prank" I look over at him marching towards me.

"WELL GO CHANGE!!" He yells.

"No shit Sherlock I'm changing!! I compete first!!!" I yell back.

A tic grows on our heads as we clash foreheads together.

"(L/N) get ready to compete! Quickly!!" Iida says.

I just run off the field, go change, and then come back in my PE uniform.

"(L/N)!!" I hear behind me.

I look over and see the tail kid.

"Oh! Tail guy!" I say.

"It's Oijro and I'm warning you. This guy is really strong!! Please be careful!" He says. I smile and put my thumb up.

"I'll be okay, thank you" I say before walking up to the arena.

"First up is (Y/N) (L/N) vs. Hitoshi Shinsou!!" Present Mic yells."Ready?"

"You know, I think it's funny," Shinsou says.

"Start!" Present Mic yells.

"How such a weak egomaniac can get with a strong person like you" Shinsou says talking about Bakugou.

My body freezes and rage began to fill my body.

"the FUCK DID YOU JUST SA-" I said running at him before my body was stopped.

I tried to make my body run at him again but I couldn't move my body. Everyone was freaking out.

"(L/N) the match just started! And she's completely frozen!!" Present Mic says. "She's got a blank look on her face and isn't moving a muscle"

"Turn around and walk out of bounds" Shinsou says.

My body doesn't move but then begins to turn around and walk slowly over to the boundaries.

'No!! Stop!!!'

Present Mic explains that his quirk is brainwashing. If anyone talks to him he can control them to make them do anything he wants.

'My head is filled with fog'

I'm still walking towards the edge. I try so hard not to move but my body keeps moving. I'm sorry Bakugou. I'm not going to be able to win for you.

"DAMNIT (L/N) TURN AROUND AND FIGHT HIM YOU IDIOT!!" I hear Bakugou yell in the stands.

My head clears up and fire surrounds my entire body. I stomp on the ground before walking out of bounds.

"It looks like Bakugous 'inspiring' words made (L/N) get out of Shinsous trap!!" Present Mic yells.

"How did you do that?!" Shinsou yells.

I keep my mouth shut and I run towards him. He smirks and talks about how it's lucky that I was blessed with a good quirk. How everyone called him a villain and he'll never make it to U.A.

Tears fill my eyes because that's what kids did to me. I was called a villain in junior high because demons are evil. I shake my head and focus. Shinsou tried pushing me out of bounds. I teleport behind him and place my foot on his back and kick him out of bounds.

"(Y/N) (L/N) WINS!!!!" Present Mic yells.

Everyone began to cheer. I watch him sit up.

"I was called a Villain when I was younger too. They told me I was the opposite of good. Just know that you are never alone" I say reaching my hand towards him.

Suddenly my head feels foggy again. However it clears quickly.

"I'm just kidding. I'm glad I'm not the only one who had an evil childhood" he says walking off of the arena.

I watch the people from his class praise him and I smile. I walk off of the arena too and up to the seats.

"Let's see who's next"
