James p.o.v.

We walked home together so she wouldn't be alone. "Thanks .......thanks for walking me home. You can stay and meet my mom if you want... but you don't have to if you don't want to." She said as we got to the mannor door. "No I'll stay if its alright with you."

"Its fine with me I would love to meet your mom." I said with a smile.

"Okay, fair warning my stepdad is not very nice to people he don't like." she warned me. After I nodded she opened the door and we went inside.

midnights p.o.v.

When I opened the doors all I heard was screaming coming from the study. Oh no their fighting again. I can't take this not again. I thought to myself when I felt a reasuring hand on my shoulder, I gave james a smile to let him know that I would be alright."Mom." I said opening the door to the study "I'm home and I brought home a friend."

I waited for them to notice that we where in the room......nothing but yelling form the two. About an hour of them ignoring us Dan saw me. "When did you get back and whps the boy?" he asked me.

"We've been here about an hour and this is james he's my friend."

"He's your friend okay just don't do anything stupid midnight." He said and sent us out of the room. Its good he didn't yell at me I wouldn't be able to handle it I thought to myself.

I showed james around, but I stopped outside the library and thought before i went inside. "I have a secret about the shelf in the conner there." I said and pointed to it.

"Will you tell me what it is?" he asked me.

"No but i can show you."
