Skye and Zoro boarded the spacecrafts, the strong metal doors lowering down. Skye was dressed in brown khaki pants and a leather jacket. Her hair was pulled back up in a messy bun, a few strands of blonde hair spilling out onto her eyelids and tickling her cheeks. Her eyes wore large bags below them due to an immense amount of restless nights and training for the mission. She had a belt on holding different defensive weapons.
Punctured into Skye's arm, just below her wrist, was a pint-sized chip. It had a camera and microphone installed into it. All of the data was directly saved into Neptune's systems so the feed could be used to find out key information. In case anything happens to her, they'll have a way to find out what they need to. She also had strapped to her belt some pepper spray, much to Zoro's dismay. Long story short, it took some convincing to let her bring the spray. Skye looked like, well, Skye. Just like a more Apalan Skye.
Zoro, on the other hand, looked completely unlike himself. The Juperian's tended to wear black and reddish clothes, therefore making him be covered in dark and depressing colors. His hair was pushed back and his forehead was stamped with a Tift, the Juperian symbol for faith and their united planet. It was the outline of Jupiter with rays coming out of it, bigger than all of the other planets. The spacecraft itself was a small shuttle, just big enough for the two of them and a couple of supply crates.
They sat in big leather seats outlined with a navy blue floral pattern. As soon as they sat down into the two seats, side by side, seatbelts ripped up and locked them in. Zoro nodded and bowed his head to the man who was getting them settled in as a sign of gratitude, and the man nodded and bowed back. The man stepped out of the back entrance and pressed a button on a console nearby. The back door came up from the ground in a slow and steady motion, taking a curved path up. The door locked into place.
Skye turned her head towards the front window of the shuttle. It was pure beauty. The glass was clear as ever and made up the entire front of the spacecraft. The half dome like shape made the stars look incredible. There was a center console in front of both chairs, not just Zoro's, which its controls had holograms and diagrams be shown on the glass. Zoro put his hand down onto a keypad, unlocking access to the shuttle. He turned his head towards Skye.
"You ready to save the galaxy?" He implored. Skye slanted her eyes toward him, a gleaming smile painted on her face.
"Ready as I'll ever be. Blast us off, Marcus!" She yelled, pointing her finger forwards. Zoro sighed and muttered something along the lines of, "My name is Zoro," yet it was barely audible. He pulled a single lever, the height of a pencil and the width of an eraser, and they were off. The shuttle roared and went flying into space. Skye's eyes wandered the scenery before her. Tens of thousand of flickering lights were shown in the dark sky.
"Gorgeous," She whispered, moving her lips very little. It was indeed a gorgeous sight to behold. She turned towards Zoro. "So! How long is it going to take to get there?" She asked, clearly giddy and excited about getting to go to Jupiter.
Zoro yawned, stretching his arms up. "Huh, I guess 'bout five hours or so. Plenty of time to explain stuff to you and your empty brain, that's for sure," Zoro snickered. Skye swatted his arm in defense.
"Hey! I'd like to see you try to learn everything about the Human species and their history within a span of a couple days," She sassed in defiance. Zoro nodded, shrugging. Skye pondered for a moment to think up her questions.
"Do you happen to know my sister's name? Are we identical? Is she okay? Can she control apoilanis? When was she taken? Where did she live? Do you know what language she speaks? Also, what language is spoken on Jupiter?" Skye started to question, talking at a speed unknown to mankind. Zoro put both of his hands on his face, clearly overwhelmed by her parade of interrogating questions.
"I don't know the answer to all of these, why don't you ask your sister in five hours?" Skye frowned, clearly upset with the answer she received. Zoro sighed, "I do know that you guys are definitely fraternal twins, and I'm guessing she's okay, but do not know for sure. I know she can control the apoilanis because it's in her blood, she was taken back about ten years ago, she lived in Arkansas, but was moved to Boston to lower the chances of both of you being captured, and she speaks English and some other language that I can't remember. Oh! And the language spoken on Jupiter is English," Skye smiled at the new answer. "Does that answer your questions?"
"Only the first few," Skye smirked. Zoro rolled his eyes. "How exactly are we supposed to walk on Jupiter? Isn't it a gas planet?
"That's just what humans assume because that's the explanation from their science. However, because we know about apoilanis, we have a better understanding of it. When we had not colonized the gas giants, we lived on Mars with a much smaller population. There was one person who's apoilanis went off of the charts. Our bodies cannot handle this much apoilanis, so things often went wrong when we tried to control other things. One day, that one person did try to control something, and everything went terribly wrong. He ended up changing the entire density of the four planets. No one knows exactly how, but we can still walk on it. Humans think that the low density is due the planet being made up of gas, and a lot of their science points towards that, but if they had a better understanding of apoilanis, there would be even more evidence towards that." Skye tried to absorb all of the information she was just given. She really didn't want another history lesson right now, but it necessary.
"How do we know that no one else will have that much apoilanis?"
"We've just evolved over time, so it's not really possible any more," Zoro stated. Skye looked down at her feet.
"What do you think would happen if someone did have that much apoilanis again?"
"Bad things," Skye did not want to get more into the topic. She shuddered at the thought.
"Why aren't other planets involved in the war?"
"They don't want to get involved in a war between us and create potential enemies," They sat there together awkwardly for the next few minutes.
"Why is there no one on Mars anymore?"
"Ever since the Earthlings started to try and settle on Mars, the Martians had to leave, not wanting to expose they were there. They were almost caught when the humans thought they spotted their canals" Skye wondered what it would be like if the Earthlings did discover that there was life on other planets. She couldn't think of it. The only thing she could think about was that it was going to be a long ride to Jupiter.
