I stared into the eyes of my enemy who stood a few feet away. Nothing moved around us, the night was completely still. Neither one of us moved, or had spoken a word. My fingers itched to grab my katana and swing, but I forced myself to wait. My eyes glanced around the scene before me, we were surrounded by trees. My eyes landed back to my enemy who still stood unmoving. He was waiting for me to strike first, but I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of my impatience, so I kept still. It seemed like a lifetime had passed by, then in one swift but noticeable motion he bolted towards me with his gun and began to shoot. I easily stepped aside as soon as he fired, my katana already in hand, slicing his arm as he passed. He howled then turned back around, swinging his armed hand in my direction and pulled the trigger. Each time I blocked it with my katana, the bullet bouncing off as I came closer. He threw the gun down and pulled out his katana, but I already had him in a choke hold and kicked the back of his knee so he'd fall to his knees, katana to his throat. This wasn't the fight I had hoped to end so quickly, but time was running out and I needed to get to Lucy. He struggled against my grip, I was glad to have trained over the years,I was a lot stronger than I looked. I leaned down an whispered in his ear before I ended his life, "Revenge is the act of passion, vengeance is an act of justice."
