Going back on time

Late at work

My visions were blurry, the sunlight hitting my eyes hurt, I covered my eyes and roled to my side, I opened my eyes slightly to check the time and I realized.

"It's 8:30AM!"

I was supposed to be in my work already at eight o'clock, I immediately took a bath and changed to my clothes, I didn't have time to eat breakfast so I just went to my car. I arrived the Market and worked, Mrs. Hampton, our Manager was walking around, I pretended to be calm then she called me,

"Hailey, you're late."

"Sorry, it won't happen again."

"You better make sure, start working already."

I started to do my work, I felt a little hungry because I didn't ate breakfast, suddenly Mrs. Hampton came to me and made Claire do my work first, Mrs. Hampton led me to her office, then she gave me a paper.

"What is this?" I asked,

"Read it." She responded,

I read it and my eyes widened, it was about me when I was twelve, I commited a murder.

"How did you get this?" I asked,

"One of the Police gave it to me, they told me to be aware of a 20 year-old girl, this murder happened eight years ago, and the name, Jane Lim, I heard that name from Claire, she said you two were talking about her."

"And?"

"She also said you were the one who started the conversation about that Jane Lim, why?"

"Nothing, I just heard about her."

"Nonesense, I can know things, Hailey."

"Promise."

"You sure you don't know her?"

"Not at all."

"Well okay, get back to your work."

I walked out the office and went back to the counter, I worked again, but the thought of that day, when I killed someone, It started to come back in my mind, I couldn't focus on my work, the thought about that place always keeps me distracted, I finally stopped myself and focused on my work.
