Gracelynn's POV"Grace, Poppy has decided to stay here for the time being. She wants to finish high school in London, but she can come visit this summer. Catherine you already know has decided not to go to the United States at all. You will be the only one there, and that worries me." My mum said in her very noticeable British accent.
"Mum I will be fine. You don't have to worry. I'll ring Brittney if I get lost. It's really not a problem. Brittney won't mind helping me, plus we're going to be together." I said in a reassuring tone.
"Ok I'm sorry, Grace. You just make me worried sometimes... and you have never met Brittney apart from when she came to London 2 years ago." She said putting a hand on my shoulder. "Mum, we talk all the time, she said she would meet me in the States once I get there. She is going to take me to change my money, and then get me settled into her apartment." I said leaving out the part about me having to switch Planes halfway.
"Grace I already have $100 for you in your carry on bag." My Mum said pointing to the carry on next to my feet. "Mum, that will last me about 2 days. Brit will need to take me to exchange pounds to dollars." I said and walked to my room to get my 2 suitcases.
"Gracelynn, the car leaves in 10 minutes!" My grandfather said from the washroom. "Ok Grandfather, I'm all ready!" I said and brought my suitcases to the front door.
"Gracelynn don't forget about me!" My 6 year old sister said running from her bedroom. "Don't worry Esther I could never." I said and fixed her braid. "When will you be back?" She asked looking up at me. "Esther I will be gone for a while before I come back. You can always ring me though." I said and wiped a single tear from her cheek.
"Ok... I will miss you!" She said and hugged me. I hugged her back, Her cheek rested on my stomach since I am quite short. 5"2 to be exact. "I will miss you too, S." I said and let go of her. She let go of me as well and I waited for Grandfather to come out of the washroom.
"Grace, please be careful. There are many crimes that happen there, and I would hate for something to happen to you." My Mum said and hugged me as well. "Nothing will happen, Mum." I said and rolled my eyes.
"Alright Grace lets go." Grandfather said. "Ok, bye Mum, tell Catherine, poppy, James, and Esther I love them!" I said and walked out the door behind Grandfather. I sat in the back of the car with Grandfather, while we had our driver bring us to the airport.

The airport"Grace, ring me once you arrive in the states. I want to know you're safe once you arrive." My Grandfather said putting his hands on my shoulders. "Ok, Grandfather. Tell pops that I left and that I love him. I didn't have time to say bye, and he was at work anyways." I said referring to my father.
"Alright..." He said and hugged me "I love you Grace." I hugged him back. "I love you too Grandfather." I said. We let go of each other and I disappeared into the mob of people that were in the airport.
Once I finally got on the plane I went to my seat and got to be next to the window. After a couple of minutes of just sitting there with an empty row a man that looked to be in his early 20's sat down next to me. He wore dark blue ripped jeans, with a jumper. He had his dark hair parted to the side, with dark blue eyes wondering, looking around. He didn't look to bad, he looked pretty kind.
I took a picture out the window, of the wing of the plane and captioned it: Goodbye London, you will be missed... 😥 and posted it on my Instagram.
"Hello." I heard someone next to me say. I turned around to see the guy in his early 20's looking at me. He was smiling lightly. "Hello." I said with and returned a smile. "My name is William how about yours?" He asked me with what seemed to be an Australian accent.
"Gracelynn... is that Australian?" I asked. "Yes, born and raised!" He said enthusiastically. "I've always wanted to go to Australia, I've heard it's really nice." I said continuing the conversation. "Oh it is... why aren't you going there instead of the States?" He asked "Well I was supposed to go to the States with my sisters, but they both bailed on me." I said.
"That's not good... I'm going there since that's where my Father is." He said. "Oh... how old are you? May I ask." I said. "I'm 18. It's just been my dad and I for a couple of years, but he left for the States 2 weeks ago." He said. "Oh, you look older than you are, not in a bad way." I said and giggled a little.
"And how old are you?" He asked "17... where are you staying?" I asked. "In Los Angeles. How about you?" He asked. "You're kidding! I'm staying in Los Angeles as well." I said and laughed a little. "No way!" He said and laughed as well.

We talked for about an hour until I Ended up falling asleep. William woke me up once the plane landed though. We were now in New Jersey. Once we got off the plane and got our stuff we just talked and waited until our second plane left. We watched people walk by and guessed what they were doing, or where they were going. It was a fun game actually. Everyone in a while we would see twins, or people fighting, which only made things more interesting.
I took a picture which made my converse, and Williams Vans in it and captioned it: Made a friend on the first plane, turns out where going to the same place! Oh and Stop numero Uno, New Jersey! 🤗😁 I posted the picture and talked with William some more.
"We should exchange numbers." William suggested. "Yeah!" I said and we handed each other our phones. I put my number in his phone and he put his number in mine. I followed myself on his Instagram while I had his phone. 'He can thank me later.' I thought.
Once we gave back each other's phones I made sure to go onto Instagram, go to my followers, and follow William back. I also texted my Grandfather:
