Twelve: Turning Time

Chapter 7: Friend or Foe?

Morven stared at Imp not budging as much as Imp tried to get him off. "Imp snap it of it!" Morven yowled. Imp sent flames from his mouth at Morven and Morven jumped back avoiding them. Morven's tail lashed back and fourth in anger he knew this wasn't the Imp he knew for all those years.  Imp stared at Morven before summoning his Bone-Mask and jumped at him. Morven lunged at Imp claws unsheathed. The two fought claws and claws fur flying onto the grass. May raised her head too see Imp fighting another reaper. Her eyes widened with fear as Morven slashed Imp's shoulder causing Imp to hiss in pain. "S-Stop! Y-Your hurting him!" May screeched not wanting to see Imp get hurt even if he did attack her. Morven's eyes glanced at May but he was focused on fighting Imp. Just as Morven's eyes were on May Imp slammed his head into Morven'd stomach causing him too become winded losing balance. Imp jumped over Morven before turning and sent flames of fire at him. Morven opened his eyes panting for air to be met with burning flames causing him to screech falling into the ground. May gasped before standing up and running over to Imp he was about to jump at Morven. "IMP! STOP IT!!" May yowled lashing at one of Imp's back legs. Imp turned his head not phased from the scratch. May's legs shook as she backed up slightly scared. "I-Imp..." Imp stared at her only to open his mouth stand shot fire at her. "NO!" Morven yowled appearing in front of May summoning a Force-Field. May closed her eyes before opening them seeing the Reaper Imp said his name was Morven infront of her. She looked around scared and confused too see a Greenish/Clear dome around them both deflecting the flames around them. May wanted to say something but her mind told her don't speak just watch and see what happens. Morven tried to keep the Force Field up but he saw it starting to crack. May's ears twitched being a crack "W-What was that?!" She yelped frightened. "N-Nothing!" Morven yowled his voice strained slightly. May's ears folded behind her head. Imp snarled before stopping the flames. Morven panted before he fell to the ground his Bone-Mask disappeared and so did the Field around him and May. "M-Morven?!" May cried running over to him. "R-Run.." He panted to tired to move. May stared at him before getting up and started to run. Imp turned his head and blew out a wave of fire in May's direction. "No!" Morven screeched standing up but he was too late. May turned her head eyes filled with tears as she clutched the Pocket Watch before being hit with the flames. All Imp heard was a blood curling scream as a blast of blames came. Morven laid on the ground with his eyes filled with shock. All Imp saw after the smoke cleared was May's body laying still on the burned ground..
