"Where are you going mother? Are you leaving me?" That's what I said to my mother before she left.
"Listen Fuse. I have something important to say, and you must understand what is to happen to you. You must tell no one of this, okay?" Her hair flows over her eyes softly, I remember a scar on one of them. She never told me what caused it. It gives me nightmares.
"Now, Once you go into high school you will change. You will find yourself obsessed with a boy. Whatever you do, you must attain his heart. No one must get him but you. No matter the cost, flatten everyone that stands between you and him. When you start doing that, do not let anyone catch you. You wouldn't want that, do you?"
I nod my head slowly as she pats my shoulders then my head. The soft touch warms me, but I look away. She sighs and kisses my forehead before she leaves me along with dad.
And now, I'm alone.
