Five| Awkward First Kiss

Everyone was seated at the table, casually having a conversation. Grayson was talking to Ethan and my dad and mom were talking to Ms. Dolan.

"So tell me Violet, what do you plan on doing when you get it of college?" Ms. Dolan asked, sipping her wine. Soon as she asked, the whole room got quiet. I hate when that happens..

"I was thinking about being...a model." I spoke softly, not looking up to meet her eye contact.

"A model?" Grayson asked "Aren't models supposed to be skinny and tall?" He chuckled.

"A plus size model" I scoffed.

"You mean a plus, plus size model?" He smirked

"Grayson Bailey Dolan, that's enough!" Ms. Dolan yelled.

"I'm just asking mom, jeez. I just never seen a fat model before, that's all" he shrugged, taking a bite of his salad.

I pierced my lips together and got up from the dinner table, throwing my napkin down. I headed upstairs to my room leaving everyone calling after me.

When I got to my room I grabbed my razor blade and held it to my wrist. I never thought I would do this, but I needed to get my pain out someway.

Just as I was about to start cutting my door flew open revealing Ethan.

"What are you doing?" He asked, taking the blade from my hands.

"Oh, you know definitely not about to cut myself when it's so close to my wrist" I rolled my eyes.

"Now isn't the time for your sarcasm." He sighed. "You could have hurt yourself very severely"

"Yeah, I know."

"I'm being serious, Violet. Don't you understand you could have put you're life in danger?"

"Why do you care so much?"

"If you really wanna know I'll tell you." He sighed.

"Well what's the point of me asking if I didn't wanna know?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"I like you" he said, scratching the back of his neck. "Not as the friendly type."

I laughed, like it was the best joke of 2018. He had to be joking. He HAD to be. I looked over and he wasn't even smiling, that's when I knew he was being serious. I stopped laughing almost immediately.

"Why?" I asked "I'm fat"

"Thick"

"Excuse me?" I smirked. I knew what he said the first time, but I just wanted to hear him say it again. I like that word, Thick.

"Your not fat. You just got a little meat on you're bones, and I like girls like that" he licked his lips.

"This has to be a joke"

"How come every nice thing I say has to be a joke?" He furrowed his eyebrows walking towards me.

"B-because. Your just trying to butter me up and then you're gonna sleep with me and afterwards you're gonna cut me lose. That's what everyone says." I said, bumping into the dresser.

"Those are rumors, Violet. Rumors made by jealous little girls" he smirked, his face was now inches away from mine. I could smell his minty hot breath. I hope my breath didn't smell bad. Wait...why do I even care?

"If your gonna kiss me, just do it and get it over with." I blurted out.

He smiled and planted his lips on mine, soon as he did my eyes widened. This was my first kiss and I'm already screwing it up by not kissing back! Ahhhhhh!!!!! Okay Violet, calm down. Just try kissing back.

Soon as I kissed back, he pulled me closer by my hips. It felt, like I had bats flying around in my stomach, That's how powerful this kiss fucking felt!

"Um..Ethan?" Grayson asked from the doorway.

We pulled apart and acted like nothing had happened.

"Yeah?" Ethan asked, slightly annoyed that's his brother ruined the moment he was having with me

"Why are you kissing her" He said pointing at me.

"Because I want to, and if you have a problem with it, I'll tell Laura that you've been messing around with Caroline." Ethan said sternly.

"I-I don't I was just....whatever" he rolled his eyes, going back downstairs

I looked at the doorway, where Grayson was just standing, because I was unsure of what to say to Ethan. That had to be the worlds most awkwardest first kiss.

"I-I'll see you at school tomorrow." Ethan said walking out of my room.

Just like that, he was gone.
