Chapter 1

I suddenly woke up because of a scary dream

"fuck" I said as I looked at the clock and it was already 7:40

"shiit I'm already late" it is the first day of classes and yes I'm already late

my dad bought a new house very far from our old one so I had to move school so now I live alone  my mom and dad are always in a business trip so I see them only once a month or so but  I am still  thankful because I still have parents to support me, but I'm also sad because I miss my mom and dad.

I took a quick bath and looked at the clock and it was already 7:49 .

"shiit" i cursed. I put on my uniform, went to scoop cereal downstairs and went to the bus stop. I looked at my watch and it was 7:54 already.

Class starts at 8:00 and I'm still here on the streets running to go to school. I finally reach the school gate so I stopped and I looked at my watch and it was already 7:57

"fuck fuck fuck fuck" I cursed repeatedly but not too, what if someone will hear me? lol

I was running as fast as I can. I'm already in the tenth grade and I was searching for my classroom, I was still running until I found my room on time it was already 7:59 just when I went in the teacher came after

"hello dear, you must be Choi Mina" she said

"yes, hello te-teach-cher" i said, I was a bit nervous

"okay class everyone sit down!" she said and she pulled me to the middle and mouthed to me "go on dear, don't be shy,"

I smiled to her "uhmmm hi, I'm Choi Mina and-" I was cut off when someone came running in the classroom and he smiled sheepishly to the teacher

"I'm sorry teacher, my dad isn't well so I took the bus on the way to the school" he said still panting

"okay Mina continue" the teacer said and I nodded

"ummhh hi again, my name is Choi Mina and I am your new classmate and I hope I can make new friends" I said then the teacher pat my back and told me to sit next to the boy who was late earlier.

The teacher was still talking and I looked out the window and I was feeling a bit sleepy so I put my head on the table then when I was about to sleep the boy suddenly said

"umhh hello Mina"

"hello" I said back

"are you american?" he ask

"umm yes my dad is Korean and my mom is Canadian actually" I said

"may I know your name?" I said

"HAHA I'm sorry i didn't introduce myself earlier, I'm Mark, Mark Lee" he said and smiled at me

"oh okay Mark, nice to meet you" I said smiling at him

"BOTH OF YOU! MARK! MINA! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! CARE TO ANSWER THE PROBLEM AT THE BOARD?!" the teacher said and I was shocked for a moment because the teacher is now different and it was already Math

"you girl! come answer it" she said and I was a little confident because I already know all the shortcuts in math and all kinds of stuff

I went to the front and I just looked at the problem really quick and answered it

"very good Mina" the teacher said and I smiled to her and bow as I thank her for what she just said.

"woow how did you do that?" Mark said he was amazed

"my parents always pressure me on my studies because they want to" I said as I chuckled

"really? uhmm can you teach me after class?" he said
