"beautiful," hyunbin chuckled, placing a chaste kiss on yongguk's nose as the two shared a piece of toast for breakfast.

"thank you hyung, for treating me so sweetly," yongguk mumbled, looking down at his lap. "it's been a rough last six months for me."

"do you... wanna tell me what happened?" hyunbin tilted his head curiously, before chuckling. "no, you don't have to. what about... who's your friend? the japanese one... kenta, was it? why was he so provoked?"

"kenta?" yongguk mumbled absent-mindedly, grinning gently to himself. "i dealt with him. don't you worry hyung."

hyunbin frowned, watching the younger boy put his fork down. "less than a year ago, i... i lost my boyfriend. someone stabbed him and ran."

not expecting those words, hyunbin covered his mouth in shock, reaching out for his hand. "i'm... i'm sorry."

"no, it's fine," yongguk smiled to himself. "the thing is... after he died, i went, uh... i went kinda delusional. i started seeing him in my apartment, and i heard him talk and it was weird. the idea still scares me."

hyunbin nodded, and yongguk knew he couldn't tell him the full truth. nothing good comes out of the truth, especially this one.

"uh, so once i started seeing you around campus, hyung, it changed everything," yongguk reached over and grabbed his hand with a smile. "i stopped thinking of him. i stopped seeing him, i was free. but kenta... kenta was really fond of him, so when he heard that i started to get over him and stuff, he got really pissed off. he too believed that sanggyun hyung was still alive, and... yeah. he's a prick, we don't have to deal with him any longer."

hyunbin pondered, before grinning and squeezing yongguk's hand. "sanggyun, huh?"

yongguk blushed, shrugging. "it's fine, anyway. i'm here with you right now, aren't i? i... i really like you, hyung."

"me too, yongguk," he grinned, leaning over gently and placing a gentle kiss on the boy's forehead. "stay with me for as long as you want. i'm here for you."
