It came rushing down my team and I caught right in the middle of a river in Vietnam,
To think that my whole career was dedicated to traveling the world and making the uninhabitable a little bit habitable.
I was trained by people classed as the best in their professions.
My life was far from normal, my love for the great outdoors started as a thirteen year old boy,
When I started hiking the trails around Ireland.
One of my all time favourites was when I decided to trek from one side of Wicklow,
Ireland to the other, I was forced to go in a diagonal line as a fare bit of Wicklow's amazing countryside,
Was taken up by the Irish Army for training ground, and if you were caught trespassing there much like Area 51 you would be arrested! My trip was Amazing it was a total of 30km. I decided to spread it out over 3 days camping at two fantastic loughs, lough Ouler and lough Cleevaun.
Lough Ouler also known as the heart shaped lake.
This trip began a life time enjoyment of being outdoors and always thanked Mother Nature for all her hard work.
I was born as a catholic and as I started my teens I announced that I was an atheist, but I had always no doubt that there was something out there.
I had a keen interest in the science of the world and thought I knew it all, at the start of my school years I was not a very nice child I was in true terms a spoiled little brat.
I never had a liking for teachers and often fought non existing battles, I always seemed to annoy a lot of the people I knew.
When I was 12 my father died of a heart attack, his passion for smoking a packet of Major a day really didn't help.
