yongguk's eyes fluttered open as he felt someone draw circles along his arm, a smile automatically appearing on his lips. "you're awake... hyung."

the latter hummed in response, a stray of the morning sun that peeked in through the curtains coating his features attractively. hyunbin blew a stray hair out of his face as he continued to admire yongguk. "did i wake you?"

yongguk turned, dragging the blanket with him as he did so, his eyes meeting hyunbin's. "yeah, but it's fine. i was bound to get up sooner or later."

"that's the spirit," hyunbin chuckled, leaning towards yongguk. "so pretty, yongguk."

the younger blushed, his eyes flickering down to hyunbin's lips as he leaned in. he closed his eyes, reaching up gently.

their moment was disturbed by three, distinctive loud knocks, shocking the two. "police! open the door!"

"what the hell?" hyunbin furrowed his eyebrows, quickly getting out of bed and slipping on a shirt. "police... what did i do? what could i have done?"

he looked over at yongguk, running a hand through his hair, before walking out of the bedroom and to the front. yongguk quickly pulled his shirt over his head and trailed behind him, curious as to what was happening.

as hyunbin opened the door, he glanced nervously at the three or four men in uniform. "may i help you, officer?"

"kim yongguk was last seen around this premises," the officer spoke firmly. "is he in here?"

"what?" hyunbin frowned, looking back at the boy. "yes... yes he is."

they looked at the smaller boy, before the officer pulled out his small walkie talkie. "we've got him. stay right there!"

two of the other officers went up to the younger boy, who widened his eyes. "kim yongguk, you are under arrest for the murder of takada kenta. you have the right to remain silent, anything you say-"

"what? what the hell?" yongguk widened his eyes. his ear rung at the words.

"-can and will be used against you in a court of law," the officer gritted his teeth as he cuffed his hands behind his back. "you have the right to an attorney. if you cannot afford-"

"sorry, sir, but what on earth is going on?" hyunbin scoffed. "yongguk's been with me for the last three days, i-"

"three nights ago, takada kenta was found dead on the side curb with a puncture through his abdomen," the officer spoke, yet yongguk blanked out after that. kenta...

kenta's dead?

yongguk was too shocked to even deny anything. his mind went blank, his ears stopped working. everything stopped for him.

hyunbin, on the other hand, was freaking out.

"what?" he scoffed, looking over at yongguk. "is this true? yongguk, is this freaking true?!"

"sir, calm down," one of the other officers muttered as they spread around the apartment to search for anything suspicious.

suddenly coming back to his senses, he glared at them. "what? what the hell are you on about?! why- why would i kill freaking kenta?! he was my best friend, for god's sake-"

"your pretty little mouth is getting yourself into more and more trouble," the officer huffed, shoving him forward as he held onto his cuffs. "come. we're taking you to the station.

"no, you don't understand," he sneered, trying to wriggle away. "there was no way i could've! you've caught the wrong guy, i-"

"stop talking before we taser you," the officer snapped, sighing. "we've been looking around for you, day and night, since yesterday. i'm tired because of kids like you."

yongguk clenched his jaw, knowing he couldn't protest anymore. he was overwhelmed, but he still couldn't say anything.
