dead leaves —
With uneven and painful breathing and watery eyes, I reread that title for a few times. Just the title itself made me realise that I was dead and that this was so unusual to how a dead person lives.
Time to play, Jin
Unwillingly I swiped the page, taking a deep breath, almost freaking out but the creature sitting there, not even a metre away, gazing into my dead soul, left me with no other choice then read and agree.
Dear Jin. It's been a while since we had any sort of communication. And you won't get to know nor remember me this time either.
You're eighteen now. And you got murdered. Brutally murdered. Your father did love you, it was just the scars left from losing your mother while she was giving birth to you that cut deeply into his feelings. It kind of made him hate you no matter what. Enough about that.
There is a rule here. A cruel one. But as you've noticed, there is a lot of differences between the living world and the death dimension. Sorry not sorry. However, let's move on to the game.
"what would you do, if the power to decide who shall die next was in your hands?"
This game is for murdered eighteen year olds. It's really cruel but it's used to make the killing go on. You heard right, Jin. This game will in the end result in you choosing one person to kill. One out of six boys. You can't back away, you know that better than anyone–
With wide eyes and a tears rolling down my soft cheeks, I shakily turned to look at the creature, feeling myself getting dizzy as I quickly looked back down on the fonts. 'I can't escape this.'
–don't be sad, Jin. I chose six boys with lives they don't cherish or want. See it as you giving them a gift. Killing them.
I clenched my teeth. 'Just because people go through shitty times doesn't mean they shall die' I closed my eyes as I tried to get a hold of myself. When I did, I continued reading the death note.
Six humans born biologically as boys, who all suffer in their own ways. Let me introduce your victims to you.
MIN YOONGI. a suicidal man.
JUNG HOSEOK. a heartbroken man.
PARK JIMIN. a selfless man.
KIM NAMJOON. a tired man.
KIM TAEHYUNG. a lonely man.
JEON JUNGKOOK. a pained man.
I just shook my head in disbelief. They honestly couldn't do this to me nor the living humans. Why? Why did they even come up with this game? What would I win on killing one innocent person?
They are all young men, with struggles they can't bear with and you just have to choose one and the game is over and you win. If you don't choose one, well they all die.
I couldn't believe my eyes. The game was forcing me to kill. I couldn't do anything else. It was a matter of morality. Fuck.
You won't kill them yourself. You will get to choose how to make their already messy daily life even messier and more dramatic. Welcome to the game, JIN
-TEAR
I,with shaky hands placed the papers down on the table as I leaned back on the sofa in shock, my heart pounding out of my chest, my tears pouring down my cheeks as I closed my eyes and took a firm grip on my black trousers.
The creature whispered a good job and then bowed after taking the papers and leaving a headband and a black robe, soon leaving me alone in the big black room, with the huge bookshelf, the two sofas, candles instead of lamps, candles on the table and close to the window that was closed but fortunately not hidden behind the dark and thick curtain.
Looking up in hope as I saw him disappear I quickly stood up to escape this place when I heard the doors lock as metal fence closed in front of the window in front of me.
I quietly stood close to the window with a hopeless expression as another tear rolled down my cheek.
I tiredly looked outside the window but regretted doing that when I saw simply black sky with white ground, the roads all shining white, golden dead leaves laying everywhere as blue trees were building a small forest further away.
"Why does this fucking place look so pleasing while it feels the literal opposite being here?"
I asked out in the air as my voice cracked and I sobbed. Suddenly, a small wind paced by, making one golden leaf fly towards me, slowly but soon reaching my window and plastering against the glass of my window.
The golden leaf changed colour from gold to brown and then spluttered up into smaller pieces, the pieces moving around in the air.
Creeped out, I walked backwards with three big steps, soon hitting my back against one of the sofa's.
I groaned as I rubbed my back, but slowly focusing on the window and the leaf again.
But what the dead leaves spelled left me in disbelief and regret once again.

twelfth chapter! okay, so we are starting to knit the threads together. It probably made yall wonder why I introduced members first before going with Seokjin for like five chapters. Ask if you wonder something. I will always answer :)
