(No POV)
"David..."
His smile dropped.
"I don't want to hurt you." She told him. All the things she told him came up to her mind. Her lies that she told flooded her mind. But all he saw was her tears which fell faster as she saw the confusion across his face.
"Baby what do you mean." Was all he mustered to say.
"All my life was but a dream. Fantastic posing greed then we shouldn't do this David. Look at me, I'm so ugly. You can't possibly love this." She cried, tripping over words her flooded lungs full of the words she so desperately needed to say.
The radio was quiet with the slow strum of a guitar and a piano playing the same few chords.
"Northern downpour sends its love."
Liza went to get out of the car and David sat there dumbfounded. He snapped back to reality when she was out of the car and walking to the edge of the river walk. She sat down and he mimicked her movements.
They were silent for a while before she spoke. But she only spoke the words of the song.
"I missed your skin when you were east. You clicked your heels and wished for me."
She looked to him and before she could speak he said to her, "Liza." But before he could finish she looked to him and got up. Leaving him at the bank of the river. He turned to find her but only saw his car and not the beautiful girl he had seen moments earlier.
I have a lot planned for this book. Words from this song will be used later on so yep
