Chapter 1

Third Person P.O.V.

It was just a normal day at the beach. The nine idols decided to meet up on their weekend to play around (Dia was opposed to this, saying that they should be using their time for training, but ended up giving in anyways). Another one of their friends also tagged along.

"Chrystal-Chan!" Chika calls to the third year sitting on the beach, "Come play with us!"

Chrystal laughs nervously, "No thank you, Chika-Chan. I don't really like swimmimg."

"Aww," Chika pouts, but soon returns to playing with You in the water.

A certain red head wasn't buying Chrystal's excuse and places her sketch book on the sand. She turns to face the brunette.

"So, what's your real reason for not going into the water?" Riko watches as Chrystal physically tenses at her question.

"Ah, well," The slightly taller girl looks into her junior's amber irises before leaning over to whisper into her ear. Riko's eyes widen a bit as Chrystal explains herself.

"Seriously?" Chrystal nods in response.

Riko nods at her and turns back to look at Chika and You playing in the water. Although she would glance at the other members at times, her gaze always ended up on a certain member.

"You really only have eyes for her, huh?" Chrystal nonchalantly comments on Riko's ligering gaze.

Riko's cheeks turn bright red as her head snaps to look over at the blue eyed girl sitting next to her. Chrystal meets her gaze and chuckles.

"Good for you, honestly." She mumbles.

"What do you mean?" Riko inquires.

"You had the courage to confess. You were able to express your feelings to your one and only. Here I am, worried and afraid of being rejected. Despite how close we are, I'm worried that I'm only viewed as a friend." Chrystal replies, letting out a sigh.

"Chrystal." Riko grabs Chrystal's face and pulls on her cheeks.

"Ow! It hurts!"

"Listen, if you don't confess to Mari, I'll tell her myself!" Riko warns, letting go of Chrystal's cheeks.

Chrystal blushes at the mention of her crush's name. She frantically looks over to see if Mari had heard. Luckily, it looks as if she didn't.

Chrystal rocks back and forth in an embarrassed manner. She couldn't possibly confess. Just the though of possibly ruining her relationship with Mari sent shivers up her spine.

"Mari will understand. She wouldn't stop being friends with you over something like that. And besides," Riko looks over at Mari, just in time to notice her loving gaze lingering on Chrystal, "Actually, I'll let you figure it out."

"Ehh!?" Chrystal whines.

Riko smiles, "Better confess fast. You know what? Maybe I'll tell Chika, and you know how she is with secrets."

The brunette groans and buries her face between her knees.

"Why don't you invite her to the upcoming dance?"

Chrystal's cheeks turn a bright red, "Um, actually...Mari asked me a couple days ago."

"Ooh? Is that so?" Riko smirks.

"Well, what about you and You!?"

Now it's Riko's turn to blush, "Well... she hasn't asked me or anything."

"Ehh? Seriously?" Chrystal looks out at You, who seems to be having fun playing with Chika.

"Yeah.."

"HEY YOU!" Chrystal practically screams across the beach.

You flinches and looks over at the unusually loud girl. Chrystal waves her over.

You jogs over to the two girls, noticing Riko trying to cover Chrystal's mouth. She places a hand on her hip and smiles at the two.

"What's up?" You asks.

"Soooo, I hear you haven't asked a certain pianist to the dance yet," Chrystal mentions, restraining Riko.

You's cheeks turn pink and she nervously scratches the back of her neck, "Ah, well..um, I was waiting for the right moment, I guess."

"You better do it soon, or maybe she'll ask someone else," Chrystal teases.

You's eyes widen, "S-someone e-e-else?"

Chrystal smirks a bit and nods.

You gets on her knees in front of Riko and takes her hands in her own, "Riko! Please go to the dance with me!"

Riko lets out a soft giggle. She takes her hands out of You's and cups the swimmer's face. She slowly leans forward and places a kiss on her nose.

"Of course, You-Chan," She smiles lovingly at her girlfriend.

Chrystal watches the two of them, desperately wishing she could have a similar relationship with Mari. She stands up and walks by the edge of the beach, letting the water lap at her feet.

Unbeknownst to her, a certain blond is watching her with a loving gaze.
