Gajeel P.O.V

Levy and I walked hand in hand towards the manor. I had my sword at my hip and she was carrying Lily in her free arm. She didn't want him home alone since they already got into our house.

"Hey guys! Oh cute cat!" Mira cried as we walked into the manor. We walked up to the bar and Levy sat, setting Lily on the counter. Mira scooped him up and cuddled him. "Where's the Don?" "He's in his office." We headed upstairs and knocked on his door. "Enter."

We walked in and Levy went straight to his desk. "We have a problem sir." He looked up at her. "What is it?" "Ultear has made a move. I almost got blown up this morning." He looked shocked. "Your not hurt are you?" "I'm fine. We have what's left of the bomb and we want Natsu to examine it." He nodded while he thought.

"We need to find you two a place to stay for now. Take that to Natsu and I will take care of your living situation." We nodded before heading out. We found Natsu in one of the labs, messing around with some gun powder. "Hey Salamander." He held up his finger as he continued measuring. He finished and tied the powder into small bags.

"What?" I set the pieces of the bomb on his table."This tried to blow us up this morning. Can you track the ingredients?" He grinned. "By the end of the day, definatly." We grinned at him and left to tinker.

I walked up to Mira who had become fast friends with Lily. "Mira give me a job." she frowned. "I don't know..." "Please." I begged. She sighed and reached under the counter, sliding a folder to me. I opened it and I had to stare for a while. I was still getting used to the whole reading thing again.

"Steal a diamond necklace. High security. Gale Estate. Hmm sounds simple enough." I closed the folder and smiled. "I'm on it!" I turned to stand up and was faced with a familiar muscular chest. "Hello dear." I smiled sweetly at Gajeel. Crap, he won't let me go! He was quiet for a minute before sighing.

"Just be careful." I blinked in surprise. "Huh?" he chuckled before ruffling my hair."I know this whole thing is stressing you out and how you hate to sit around. A job is just what you need." I grinned up at him and hugged him. "I'll be back late!" I ran out the door to grab my stuff from the house.

As I reached it I pulled out my gun. I felt ridiculous having to case my own house before going in. I inched around each corner as I headed to the bedroom. I packed it full of tools, lock picks, glass cutters, night vision goggles and so ammo. I changed into a black cat suit, it clung to my skin and was a bit uncomfortable but it was worth it. I tied my hair back with a black bandana.

It was about noon by the time I headed towards Gale Estate. It was on the far side of town, very ritsy. By late afternoon I arrived and began casing the mansion. Lots of guards. I found the necklace in question on the second floor, in a neat glass case in the corner of a room.

I decided to wait until night fall to break in. I sat quietly in a tree, perfectly hidden. I rubbed my bad leg and frowned. It was sore and throbbing but I wouldn't let it slow me down. 'I should have had someone drive me,' I thought, knowing now I would have to walk across town to get back to the manor. I groaned. I ha been to excited to be on a job that I didn't think straight.

I mentally scolded myself before getting up. It had gotten dark during my inner conversation. I looked far below, keeping an eye on the guards. As soon as they passed, I lept from the branch to the window sill. I'm glad I was so tiny or I would never have fit. I dug in my bag for my glass cutters and made a small hole just big enough for my hand.

I in latched the window an hopped in. I crouched, looking around before creeping across the room. The lights had been left on and I felt completely exposed. Before jumping in I had covered my face with the bandana from my hair, and I was glad I did. I reached in my bag and grabbed a small remote, pointing it at the camera across the room. I pressed the button and it fizzed and smoked slightly. The red recording light flicked off. I did the same to the other cameras.

Finally at the small glass box I pulled out some old fashioned lock picks. I inserted them into the lock and closed my eyes, feeling the tumblers bump and click into place. I smiled and with a flick of the wrist, it opened. I stuffed the necklace into my bag and made a dash for the window.

I was sure a silent alarm would have been tripped so I wanted to get out a fast as possible. Window to tree and tree over the concrete wall. After I was sure I was far enough away I took off my bandana. I couldn't help the grin that was stuck to my face. It felt so good to work again.

I tried to ignore the throbbing in my leg as I walked, it threatened to give out on me a few times. A black escalade pulled up beside me and I looked to it, raising an eyebrow. The window rolled down and I grinned. "I figured you could use a ride." Gajeel said with a grin. I opened the door and hopped in.

"You know me so well."
