"YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ANYTHING I SAY!!" Marcie screamed as her mother proceeded to ignore her. "I do, but I mean, Jeff has been away for a bit and I have to deal with you all the time." Marcie couldn't take it any more. She decided that she needed some fresh air. As she picked up her keys, she made a risky decision. "AND I'M NEVER COMING BACK!" She sat on her porch thinking about where she was going to go. She had no clue. She tried to get back in to retrieve some of her things, such as articles of clothing, her laptop, and her pencils and artbook.

When she was sad she used to go up to the attic and draw. She never thought she was that good, but she knew she wasn't the worst. Everyone would always comment on how well she could draw, and they would all say the same thing. "Now, you better not waste the talent that you have."  She knew she wouldn't, I mean, how could she? She never thought that she was the type of girl who would leave home, go out on her own with nothing but a suitcase, and then mess up her life. She always thought she was going to have a fairy tale life.

Then, reality sunk in. She noticed that her life was doing just that. Now she is sitting in her car with no place to go or to call home. She only had $336 in her wallet. That would get her by for maybe a week. But she didn't plan on going back. This was a permanent vacation.

She decided that since there was nothing left for her to do, she started to look for employment. No one would hire her. She did live in central New York, and there were a lot of buisnesses and not many employers looking for an 18 year old. She turned the corner as she started back to her car and noticed a bright neon sign. "GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS!!!!" She knew this place all to well. Her father used to park the car outside and go in for about an hour and come back without his jacket, sometimes missing his tie even. She knew this wasn't a good place for her, but who knows?

She walked in nervous as ever because the security man didn't even card her. She knew this place had trouble written all over it. She walked over to bar and met an older woman with a name tag reading of, "Glenda."

"Whatchu want sweet cheeks?" The woman said as she cleaned off the beer despencers. "Employment? Or is that not availiable here neither?" "Sassy, I like you...yeah we've got it...come with me." Glenda motioned her to the back, "Here is where I will proceed to ask you a bunch of nonsence questions."

After the interview she started work right away. She didn't even have to get her nametag. Well, with the role she was playing...she didn't need one.

"There it is...that tall, slim, metal thing is my future...THAT is what I am going to be doing in order to eat." She started to work, and then two hundred bills were flung to her shoe. "Get down from there." Said a man in the front row. She ignored him. She had to make enough money to get a hotel for the night. The man jumped on the stage and put her over her shoulder, after he pocketed the money.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! PUT ME DOWN!" She flailed her arms and legs, hitting and kicking the man repeatedly."I told you to get down off that pole. I know the difference between a whore and a woman. And you are neither. You are a baby.." he said giving her the money. "Now, I am going to assume that you are either A, rebeling from your parents, or B, you were kicked out and you need money."

"Well, it's both...sorta." She said as she shook. "Let's go." He took her by the wrist and shoved his way through the croud.
