Chapter 13

Seongwoo

It has been 2 weeks since Ong last talked to Daniel. He tried to talk to Daniel but whenever he does, he goes to other way and ignores me. He does not answer my text, chats and calls. At class, he is always sitting with Kim. Even in Science class where Kim was not there, he sits with Jaehwan instead which was at the back of the room. Is he really ignoring me? Does he not love me? Did I do something? Did I scare him? It's all my fault! Whatever I did I need to fix it!

It is now lunch time. I am going to the cafeteria. I will try to talk to Daniel now and I will not back down. I need to know why he is ignoring me. I need to apologize for what I have done even though I still don't know what I even did wrong.

I looked at every table just to see where Daniel is but it seems like he is nowhere to be seen. I checked once again and at last, I found him at the far end corner of the cafeteria. It seems like she is with that Kim girl again. I approached him and tapped his shoulder. He looked up at me and his eyes widened. I smiled at him.

"Hey!"

"Uh-h Hey!"

"I haven't hanged out with you for 2 weeks! Where have you been? Are you ignoring me or something?", I said why giggling pretending to be okay and preparing for the answer.

"Wait really? Sorry! I was not ignoring you I was just-"

"Oh, you're Ong Seongwoo right?", Kim joined in.

"Oh, yeah. I'm Ong, You're Kim right?"

"Yup! I'm his girlfriend"

And with that. My world collapsed. My heart shattered.

"Y-you're his girlfriend?"

"Yup! for about 4 months now!"

I just smiled and and said my farewell and ran as fast as possible. I do not know where I will be heading but I need to be away. I need to be away from him. This hurt. This fucking hurts.

I heared Daniel chasing me and I fastened my speed. But, unfortunately, he caught up and was now in front of me.

"Ong! I-I ca-"

"You can what? Explain what? I already know! So all this time, you just lead me on? You're just using me? For what?"

"L-look I really did liked yo-"

"Oh cut the fucking bullshit Daniel", his eyes widened. This is the first time he ever heard me swear and I think this is the first time I even cursed at someone.

"You know, you could've just said you wanted a quick fuck you know? You took all this time just to what? to fuck me? You lead me on and all you wanted was to fucking have sex?"

"Ong I-"

"I can't fucking believe this. I feel fucking disgusted with myself."

"Look Ong, I did not mean to do it! I'm very sorry!"

"And you think a simple sorry is enough?! I fucking gave you my virginity! I thought you loved me! I fucking loved you! So since Kim was gone you used me? Because you can't keep your fucking hands in your pants? You know what? Fuck you"

I left him and ran where my feet can take me. I don't have any destination. After and hour of running and my tears hitting the pavement, I found a dead park, the park where I used to play when I was a kid. I sat on the bench and cried. The only thing I can do is cry. I feel so disgusted with myself. I feel fucking used. More tears spilled. I don't want this. This hurts so fucking much.

Daniel

Shit. I fucked up so bad. Why do I suddenly feel guilty? I wanted this right? Yeah, I wanted this. Did I even liked Ong? I mean why would he even think I would love him? I ran back to school and went back to Kim. She still doesn't know what happened and I do not have any plans on telling her. I kissed her on the lips and hugged her waist.

"What was that about? He looked sad? What happened? Did you something bad to him?"

"Oh, no, he said he just had a bad day"

"Then why did you run for him?"

"I am his friend so I wanted to know what's wrong. You know, we've been close this past few days"

"Oh! You know, I have heard about Ong Seongwoo before"

"Really?"

"Yeah, my friend used to be his friend. She said that she was very close with Ong back then but when highschool started, Ong became so distant. He shut everyone out. He did not talk to anyone. Good thing you got him to be friends with you. One time I thought he was even mute since I never heard him speak not until I heard him introduce himself"

"Oh, well let's change the topic shall me?"

"Okay"
