Chapter twenty-three

Your POV

I watch many others compete against each other. Suddenly it was Bakugous turn. I look up to see who he is going up against.

"Oh no" I mutter.

I see Urarakas face pop up with Bakugous. I begin to sweat thinking of the possibilities. Uraraka and Bakugou walk up to the middle of the arena. The second Present Mic says "start". Uraraka sprints at Bakugou.

Bakugou sparks small explosions to keep her at bay.

'Aww he isn't even trying his best. I guess he doesn't want to hurt her too bad'

Suddenly while Uraraka keeps dodging people were screaming that the fight was unfair.

"How can you say you want to be a hero like that?!" Some guy yells.

Rage began to boil inside of me. My tail flickered like a pissed cat.

"Quit playing around and get the girl out of bounds" he yells again.

Everyone began agreeing with him. Finally I snapped and spread my wings. I fly up to head towards him but I felt tape wrap around my body, holding me back.

"(L-L/N)" Sero says struggling to hold me back. "Don't do it! You're going to get in trouble" Kirishima pitched in on holding me back.

I notice Bakugou looking over at me in curiosity. Suddenly Uraraka put her fingertips together and all of the rubble that she made float fell down. I froze and Sero and Kirishima breathed out in relief. I watch the rubble quickly drop down to earth.

Bakugou put both of his hands up causing a huge explosion to come out of his hands. My hair blew back due to the wind. When the bright light faded down I see only a few small pieces of rubble fall to the ground. I see Uraraka on the ground and guilt fills my head.

She tries to crawl towards Bakugou but eventually passes out. I fly back down to the seats and Sero starts to remove the tape from around my body.

"KATSUKI BAKUGOU WINSSSSS!!!!" Present Mic yells.

Sero was about to get the last ones around my chest but I put my hand out.

"I got it" I say before peeling it off.

He sighs in disappointment. Before sitting back down. I just sit back in my seat and wait for Bakugou.

"Now let's pull ourselves together!" Present Mic says. "Let's get started with the next round after a short break!"

Bakugou eventually walked into the small area.

"Hey Bakugou, That was tough wasn't it? Being the bad guy?" Sero says.

"Even if it was because of the match up you play an amazing villain Bakugou" Tsuyu-Chan says.

"Shut up! Be quiet!" He yells as he comes and sits next to me.

"I'm still surprised that you managed to blast such a strong explosion to a frail girl" Kaminari says.

Katsuki mutters "what about her is frail?"

My heart stops and my breath hitches. 'Did he just defend her?? Does he like her or something???'

Thousands of thoughts fill my head. I shake my head cutting all of them off. 'Why do I even care? It's obvious he doesn't even like me. I thought maybe he would see past his anger and begin to see the good in me but. Why would I ever think a angry hedgehog would like a hothead like me?

"Up next is Shouto Todoroki vs Izuku Midoriya!!!" Present Mic says cutting my thoughts off.

"This is going to be good" I say while sitting back in my seat.
