"Kathrine!" Bev yelled at me as I jumped off the cliff before anyone else could, my body collided with the warm, yet refreshing water. The boys and Beverly jumped in as well, Richie sneakily came behind me and grabbed onto my shoulders. "Ah! You bitch!" I screamed and he laughed, I pouted and swam closer to the shore. "Awwwe is little KitKat sad" Richie mocked and chuckled as he swam a little closer to me but not to close to where I could splash him. "No, and what did I say about calling me that." I giggled, he shrugged and swam up to me and splashed me.
A month later Richie stopped me in the halls. "Hey, Kathrine? Can I ask you something, I totally understand if you say no." Richie said pulling me aside while Bill and Bev went into our math classroom. I nodded, "Go ahead, I'm listening." "So you know how I normally tease Eddie about liking you? Um, he doesn't, I do. And I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date with me this weekend." he stammered, he was blushing madly. I've never seen Richie so nervous. "Yes, I'd love to, Rich." I practically yelled I had a huge smile on my face.
TIME SKIP TO 1989
"Rich!" I laughed as he ran outside to Bill's car with me on his shoulder. "Road trip!" Richie screamed once again. "But we don't have clothes to change into," I said very concernedly. "Oh, yeah we packed stuff yesterday while you were at school." he sheepishly smiles, I sent him a glare once he puts me down. "Fine, where are we going?" "T-to your a-aunts to go vi-visit Bev" Bill answers with a huge cheeky smile. Of course, I was stuck in the back with the snacks and Billys book bag. "So how long have you two been planning this?" "Over a month, but I promise it'll be worth it!" Richie screamed.
As we arrived at my aunts' place, Bev came running out. "Kathrine!" she screamed while embracing me in a huge hug. Bill had a camera to record us, then Richie came around the corner holding roses. Beverly let go and smiled, Richie then started talking while pulling out a bouquet of white roses and a black velvet box, he then got on one knee "Wow okay, we may be 18 now and still very young but when we first met, I instantly fell in love with you. I may not have shown it for quite a while, I was an idiot, but these past 4 years have been so amazing with you. I've become someone better for myself and for others. Fuck, what I'm trying to say is, Kathrine Addison Marsh, will you make me the happiest guy on this earth and marry me?" My eyes began to water, I couldn't speak so I nodded my head. Richie got up to put the ring on my hand and picked me off the ground and started crying onto my shoulder, "I love you KitKat" "I love you too Richie"
