"I've been searching for hours let's take a break." I asked my bestie as she looked through the newspaper for empty apartments. I told her about what happened and she agreed to help me find an apartment then move in with me. You know so she can help me out. She is the only one that gets me and can calm me down when my anxiety starts to run wild.
"You know, you could stop whining and help me. That might even make the progress pass quicker." Kelsea replied with a playful smirk on her smug face. I smiled back but I think she could tell it was forced. This is because straight after she grabbed my hand and pulled me of her sofa. It's where I had been staying for the past few days. Her mother doesn't know why I am staying though. Before I even had a chance to ask I could already tell she wanted to go shopping. Not because of the amount of cash she grabbed but because well it's all she ever does.

I was dragged around the mall against my will as she tried on every outfit within eyesight. I however found myself staring at a particular place.
The exit.
After a few hours of torture she finally agreed to go get some food. We went to McDonald's and straight away I could already feel my anxiety kicking in. She put her arm around my shoulder to comfort me. She is the only one who knows what to do. She brought me with her as we queued up. We wasn't there for too long.
After we finished our food we went back to her house. We carried on looking for vacant apartments. We found one that I liked the look of so we phoned up the owner and they said we could come look at it tomorrow. So we will.
---------------------------------------------------------
"Hurry please come on," she pleaded as I got into my t-shirt and jeans. I turned around and gave her a look of disappointment as she fell onto her bed. I fell next to her as we both stared at the ceiling. It was quiet for a while. I decided to break the silence because it started to feel awkward. I didn't talk though just tapped my foot.
"What time is it?" She asked after a few minutes of complete silence again. She turned to me as she said it.
"12 we have to be there in an hour." I said calmly as I stayed where I was.
"An hour but I still have to do my hair, put my makeup on I will be right back." She exclaimed as she jumped up and started running around frantically before she finally found her way into the bathroom. I just laughed at her. I didn't really care what people thought of me so I just ran the brush quickly through my hair before putting it into a pony tail to keep it out of my face.
---------------------------------------------------------
About 20 minutes late she came back in. She was wearing some black jeans with a grey top on. She put her hair into a messy bun which complimented her black eyeliner and eyeshadow. She also put on red lipstick. I didn't understand why though since she's usually the one to wear bright pink and purples. I stood up and followed her out of the house and to the bus.
"I like your outfit." I said. She didn't reply just looked into space. I knew something was wrong but I don't like to but into other people's business I just waited for the bus to come. We got on the bus and sat right at the back on the seats so we faced each other. She pulled out her phone and started playing games. We had about 30 minutes of travel ahead of us.
"Are you gonna talk to me or just carry on playing on your phone because I'm bored here." Me and my big mouth blurt out. I realised what I said and covered up my mouth feeling like a big idiot. I usually hate talking but now I want to. What has gotten into me ever since that letter?
"Oh sorry it's just my Aunt is coming over and my mom wanted me to text her where to meet and stuff." She replied. I felt like an even bigger idiot. She hasn't seen her Aunt in a few years and I know how fond she is of her. Whoops. I just stayed quiet for the rest of the journey as she played on her phone. That's one conversation that went horribly wrong.
---------------------------------------------------------
The apartment was only two bedroom which was perfect and it was an alright size. I decided that we could buy this place. I decided that I would pay for most of the furniture since it shouldn't really be her. I raised what was in my bank account to get the basics. I made a list of everything we would need and made it a checklist:
1. Sofa
2. Beds
3. Cooker
4. Fridge
5. Food
6. Drinks
7. Toiletries
8. MicrowaveThat's all I can think of for now. By this time next week I hope to have a fully furnished house. Or half furnished. Or maybe just a bit. I don't really know. All I know is that we need some necessities as soon as possible. What else will we use.
"My mom says that she'll keep in touch and help us out with anything we can't afford. She is glad that we are trying to be independent but we are still young so we can't do it all alone." She stated. Her mom has always been the best and so nice. If only mine was the same. One can wish I suppose, one can wish...
