When I was eight years old, I was raped by someone I thought was my friend. But first, let me give you the backstory.

I was playing outside with my best friend Shay, we were laughing, playing jump rope, then the game "Helicopter". Then we notice a kid 5 doors down, playing by himself and I felt bad for him, I didn't want him to be alone so I looked at shay and she knew by my face what I was going to do.

So we both started to walk down the street on the driveways, then started to run as we were getting close to him. We finally stopped and saw him still in the same position as we first saw him. " Hi my name is Kimmy, and this is shay. Why are you alone? " I looked around him and saw a little girl playing in the farther back with some flowers and she kept going back and forth out of this small shed they had in the back of the house he was in front of. " is this your house?" Shay wanted to know that before she could sit on the same grass the boy was sitting on. " in Edward, yeah this is my house. But I don't like it!" he sounded like he was having a fit, so shay and I wanted him to play with us and we also wanted to figure out why he didn't like where he lived. " whats wrong with it?" I gasp out of comedy " IS IT HAUNTED???" I was trying to cheer up the boy so I made some jokes and Shay followed along pretty well " DUH DUH DUUUNN" we both laughed since we thought it was a funny joke and by now we would have expected a giggle or laugh or something. But no we got nothing, zip, zilch, zippo. He still looked upset and turned back around just to look at the house and turn back to us with still the same face before. " Then we would have never lived here duh! no its not haunted. I just want my other house back." He still didn't want to let go of the fit he was having.

" Well if you want, we can play with you. Come on! it'll be fun, we promise. " Shay thought we got him this time and gave me a thumbs up. " No thanks, I don't want to play with a bunch of girls. you guys are too wimpy for me! Look how strong my arms are!" He finally got up and rolled up his sleeves, just to show us how " strong " he was. We both started laughing, " No way, I bet you I'm way stronger than you, I can totally take you down in arm wrestling! " " Wow Shay, don't give him any ideas! he'll probably take you up for it!" we had a plan to show him how fun we are, and how he should play with us. " Too late! Come on, we can arm wrestle right here, right now! I'm gonna win." He was really confident for a 6-year-old. They run over there, laughing, I'm doing the same thing after they ran. Shay and I were really happy Edward got out of his shell and played with us. We thought this was going to turn out to be a great friendship, but things changed.... people change.

As the 2 years go by, we started for how we met. We would meet outside to play and repeat the same cycle over and over again for months. Then, Shay started to hang out with Edward & I less and less over time and then, she stopped coming outside when I would ask for her to come outside " I can't, sorry. Tomorrow? " Same saying all the time, and then she finally gave a different excuse after a year since we met Edward. " Sorry, but I don't want to. ", so I stopped asking, it felt weird not asking anymore, but I was going to get used to it. So I played with Edward and that's it, no one else to play. well, that's false but true at the same time. I met a new friend since I was also friends with Edward, we became friends after I asked Shay to play outside for one last time. But he's not that relevant to the story. Not this one. So after all Shay not coming out anymore, it was me and Edward. I wasn't worried or anything, I was fine, I just wished Shay didn't stop playing outside. So we did the same thing as we would if Shay was here. And we did okay, we were happy every time we saw each other, we would talk about our day, and what we were going to do while we were outside.
