Jacob's POV

Sydney was still in the room with Hunter and I was getting antsy. I could hear him yelling something at one point and I almost went upstairs and strangled him. Sydney didn't need that right now.

Sydneys POV

I was just about to open Hunters door when he put his hand out to stop me. "Listen Syd. Don't be mad at Jacob. He's just trying to look out for you. He thought he lost you." I nodded my head. "I know Hunter. I know." he nodded and allowed me to open the door. When I stepped out of the doorway I looked down and saw Jake at the bottom of the stairs. He had a worried look on his face and I instantly knew he heard the yelling. I gave him a reassuring smile and ran as best I could -considering the fact that I'd just learned to walk again- down the stairs and into his arms. He wrapped his arms around me tightly and I could feel him inhale. "I'm so sorry Jake. I love you too much to put you through this. Please forgive me." he exhaled loudly and I could feel him shake slightly. He gently pushed back away from me, shook his head and closed his eyes.

         "Don't ever apologize for that Syd. You don't need to. I know how hard this has been for you and me being all crazy protective of you isn't helping, but I refuse to go through what I've went through in the past. I will never let you out of my sight again." I laughed and laid my forehead on his chest. "I know you're just looking out for me Jake. That's why I love you. I just wish you wouldn't worry as much. If they're gonna get me then they're going to find a way to get me. Nothing and no one is going to stop them. It's sad to say, but it's true Jake. And I don't want you getting hurt. No one needs to get hurt, especially on my account." I could see he was about to lecture me, but what he said instead surprised me.

                     "That's true, because I mean they got you last time didn't they? Everyday I wake up next to you is a miracle because I came so close to losing you. I know that you don't want anyone to get hurt, and neither do I. I just need you to understand that I will always fight for you no matter how many times you tell me to stop." I exhaled loudly. "I know you will Jake. You're just so da*n hardheaded." he laughed. "I pride myself in that too." I snickered and pushed myself away from his body.

I looked over at Hunter and nodded towards his mom, and he smiled and walked over to her and grabbed her in a tight hug. She started crying on his shoulder. "I love you mom, and I'm so sorry I hurt you. It's just, I was hurting and I didn't want anyone to see me torn down like that. I deserved to be locked in that room." she rolled her tear filled eyes at him making Jake and I laugh. "That has to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard." she pulled completely away from him and smacked him upside his head. "Don't you EVER do something like that to me again." We all laughed along with her when she pulled him back into a hug. "I love you too, son. I love you too."

Hunter pulled away from her and walked towards me and Jake and threw his arm around my shoulders. "Now about this Syd-Hun fun filled day. What exactly did you have in mind?" I laughed and Jake cleared his throat. "Um, what's this about a Syd-HUN fun filled day? Was I not included in my girlfriend and friends day out? That really hurts me to know that you two would leave me out. If you're going to be that way I'll stay here and bake with Mrs. Marsha!" I heard Hunters mom laugh and shake her head in a 'No way!' manner. Hunter was shaking with laughter and I laughed too.

           "I guess you can come with us lover boy. You did say you were supposed to stay with me at all times, and plus it looks like Mrs. Marsha doesn't want you burning down her kitchen." She nodded her head laughing and walked out of the room. Hunter pulled me toward the from door and we walked towards  Jake's truck. "For the record babe, we both know I'm a great cook. I would never burn the kitchen down." I laughed and climbed into the high truck with a little help from Hunter.
