Midnight Angel

Prologue

Lana had asked her best friend, Elemence to meet her in the nursery with her newborn child, Sky.

Lana had her two beautiful twin girls on the ground but they were separated by a gate of magic, Lana was cruel to her children, if one of them touched the gate, they would get choked.

Elemence saw and tried to take away the gate but Lana was still holding it behind her back, where Elemence hadn't seen it.

"Don't" said Lana

"They are babies, let them play" said Elemence. Sky was in her arms, her blue eyes were wide and confused, the baby was scared of Lana, seeing her do this to her children, what if she would do worse to her cousins.

Sky hid her face in her mother's shoulder.

"She's beautiful" said Lana with a sweet smile, the opposite of what she was. Elemence had built up suspicion about this little gathering. She held Sky a little tighter and set her jaw tight, she was ready for the worst with Lana. Having grown up with her, she knew she didn't have anything good to do and separating her babies with a magical gate that would hurt them if they touched it, that's too much.

"What do you want? I promised to meet Kane at the lake with Sky" she said. Lana circled around her girls and took Luna, her big blue grey eyes were looking down at Nite, she held out her little hand and Nite tried to reach it but she fell forward on the magical gate. She started crying because of all the shocks she had gotten. Elemence pulled it down and looked at the poor crying Nite. She sat and looked up at Elemence with plead in her eyes. She didn't want to stay with her cruel mother. Everybody thought maybe children like Luna and Nite would change her, but she already had children, Nico and Nicky, the little toddlers were with their father, Silas and their uncle, Soran who was intact Nite and Luna's father. Lana cheated, she fell for his charm or at least that's what she said but Elemece knew she simply wanted him to fall for her charm, she planned it all along. Having children with Soran was the way she was going to get out of this family, she wanted to leave the children and run away, start a new life with someone else, somewhere else. Elemence didn't have a problem with that, her little sister followed her into the Ironsky family because they were wealthy, strong and the kings of demons but they were agresif and demanding to people like Lana, she was a little pet since the beginning to them. She made Silas fall for her and they got married, they had stopped treating her that way and she had gained respect of them but soon enough, they had lost the respect and the trust for her, she wasn't like her big sister at all. She was beautiful, smart, polite, loyal and she loved children and animals. She was smart with her magic, she didn't do what she wanted with it, she used to help people in need but Lana was the opposite. Too skinny to even be alive, selfish, careless and quite stupid. She used her magic for her own personal needs. She was still a child, a stupid little child. She lived in her Elemence's shadow, that's the only reason the King, Viktor had agreed to let her stay with them, but he like others, had soon regretted their choice.

"I want Sky" Elemence stood there, shocked, no way she was giving her child to her.

"No" she said clearly.

"Don't make this hard for you and Sky Elemence, you'll get Luna, it's a little trade" Lana was insane, why in the world would she want to trade her child? She was stupid but not this stupid.

"Trading your child, you foolish little girl, I knew I should've never told you where I was going" Elemence had enough, it was too much. "Imagine how amazing my life would be, no you, no troubles in the kingdom, no fights I between brothers, no cheating, no stupidness" She started laughing while she was speaking, she was imagining her life without her sister, it was amazing. Her life could've been so much better. "You ruined the King's wedding, you destroyed your wedding, your destroyed alliance that the kingdom had with other realms. You ruined everything, if you didn't exist, the world would be a happy place and we won't be in war because of you" Lana had tears in her eyes, she started crying but Elemence knew it was to get attention and pity, she wasn't falling for this stupidness unlike others did.

"You don't understand, there will be a bigger war if Luna and Nite stay together, they are demons Elemence!" She cried

"Well that's impossible! We live in a demon world where the children of demons are demons you idiot" she said. She looked so disappointed in her sister.

"You don't understand Elemence! They are going to start a war, bigger than this one, one that could destroy us all" she explained. She was trying to blame her children for the war, how shallow minded.

"No Lana, if you simply can't take care of your children then tell me, I will help Soran take care of them" Elemence said with a different tone. She looked more like a caring big sister, her eyes were filled with care but for who? Lana or her children.

Lana looked down. "Take them, just do it, just take them away from me" she said. She let Elemence take Luna and she fell to her knees crying. Elemence then grabbed Nite and left the room where her little sister was crying and finishing her life here, in Irongate.
