Clarke's pov:
I lightly brush Lexa's hair out of the way as I slide closer to her, wrapping my arm around her waist. I sigh as I rest my head on the back of her bare shoulder. Her calm breathing telling me she is still resting. The sound of the wild birds twittering outside the tent add a simple calmness.
I wish it could be like this all the time.
I stay resting as the big spoon while Lexa quietly sleeps. I watch out the window as birds fly by on the other side of the clearing. Occasionally a person would walk by and I would be reminded that eventually, I must get up.
I continue to watch the world of colors through the window, matching my breathing to Lexa's. I bite my lip as her little nose crinkles. I stifle a small giggle at her cuteness, trying to stay as quiet as possible so I do not disturb her.
Today has been nice. The temperature is just right. We had a little rainfall earlier this morning, but it has since stopped. We haven't heard anything from the mountain men, and frankly, we've been at peace since we moved to this small village with Lexa and some of her people.
I feel Lexa shift in her sleep and use my arm to pull her closer to me. I relax as I feel her release a calming breath.
This place is almost like a haven. We call it Hiraeth.
All of skaikru is here along with a varying mix of grounders. We thought this combination would help us put aside our differences and truly become part of a more peaceful future where everyone is safe. So far it is going pretty well.
As a part of our combination, we are trying to teach each other what we know. Farming, tool making, hunting, fishing, fighting, cooking, etc. There are so many customs we are sharing with one another. Of course, this is not perfect. Murphy got into a fight with one of the grounders yesterday about something like where they can go hunting because the grounders do have a territory they try to stick to in order to keep peace and fairness with all the clans. But this is a start.
I stroke Lexa's stomach as I feel her begin to stir in her movements. I release a sigh as peace washes over me.
I look back to the window as I hear a light hum coming from outside, knowing exactly who that is. Her name is Y/n, she is one of the 100 that came down on this ship. I am not entirely sure as to why she was locked up, but I do know that she doesn't have any family. She is also always walking around and humming as she looks up at the world with a childish curiosity in her eyes. I didn't notice Lexa wake as I thought of the girl. I came back to reality as I felt her place her hand on my own atop her stomach.
"Hello sleepy." She shifts to turn and see me. I take this as my opportunity to place a kiss on her cheek, her cloudy green eyes following my movement.
"Mmmmm." I try to stifle a giggle at her adorableness as she clearly wants to stay where we are just like me. "We have to get going." I start to shift to get up, but Lexa quickly turns over and wraps her arms around me. I can't help but laugh at her antics.
"Lexaaa, we have to gooo." I continue to laugh as she pulls me closer and wraps her legs around me. I sigh in defeat, a happy smile on my lips as I wrap my arms back around her. I laugh lightly and hug her tighter as she does a tiny victory dance that makes the whole bed move. "Fine... Five more minutes." I place my chin on the top of her head as she moves down so her face is against my chest. I relax as I feel her warm breath wisp along the skin of my breasts.
We need more peace like this in our lives. I again look out the window and watch the wild birds fly in the trees.
"Lex, do you think this will last?" I feel her slightly shift, thinking of my question.
"We will make it last." I smile at how sure she is. I hear the humming again from outside, Y/n's face smiling in my imagination.
I gently rub Lexa's back as I hear her breathing start to slow again. I carefully push her hair to the side. I never really noticed how long her hair has gotten. I always have to take a second glance at her hair when she takes it out of the braids.
"Clarke?!" I hear my mother shouting for me. I start to move to get up, but Lexa groans as I move. "Lex, come on. It's my mom." Her hand moves to the back of my shoulder as she pulls me close to her once again. "Clarke?!!" I can hear the slight alarm in her voice, probably worried as to why I haven't answered. Goddammit Lexa. I look down at the resting girl beside me, a smirk on my lips. I bend over and start to nibble on her neck.
We have a rule. No hickeys on our necks, only on places that can be easily covered by clothing and armor. "Mmmmmm... Clarke," I continue to nibble as she moans a bit, probably too tired to realize what I am doing. I start to suck.
"WOW wow wow wow!!" She shoots up, pulling the blanket off of me. I take that as my chance to go as she puts her hand to her neck.
I see her look at me out of the corner of my eye. She's staring at me with pure predatorial rage. Her look of shock soon replaced with a smirk.
"I know why you did that," I nod as I bend down to pull up my pants. "I guess I'll just have to get you back for that." I took my focus off her while I pulled on my shirt jumping a little when I feel her hands rubbing up and down on my stomach. I pull down my shirt with a playful frown showing on my face.
"Lex, my mom. Later okay." She snakes her hand around me and pulls me in. I refuse to look at her so she takes my chin in her other hand and turns me to face her. Our eyes lock.
"You're mine remember that," she gives me a hungry kiss then pulls away leaving me wanting more. She giggles as she sees she got to me then turns me around and pushes me out of the tent.
"Mom!" I run over to her seeing the relief on her face when she sees me.
"What took you so long?"
I shrug, "Couldn't find my other shoe." She looks at me with doubt in her eyes, then I see her eyes shift from where I came from. The all too knowing look spread on her facial features.
I roll my eyes, "So why did you call me mom?"
