I'm sure you've all heard of Alice, the girl who battled the mighty Jabberwocky, and regained the throne for The White Queen. She's a hero, how could you not know her? She's practically Underland royalty. Everyone who's anyone knows Alice, we celebrate her birthday every year, and the day she'd slain the Jabberwocky  in one stroke of her vorpal sword. But I'm sure you'd turn away if you'd heard a story of someone in The Red Queen's court, I'm sure no one would care. But if you're reading this, maybe you do care, or maybe you're just here for a good story.
I've seen this from the first point of view, I know what went on in the Red Queen's Castle, I know rather well, and whilst I didn't agree with most of what she did, I understand more now than I had.
I remember the first day Alice came to the palace, painted the roses, and almost earned the Queen's admiration, but Alice had then discovered the kindness of the White Queen, and was ever faithful to her. That day Underland fell apart, broken into two sides, the ones for Alice, and the ones who wanted to bring the Overland girl down. The Red Queen searched all of Underland, but Alice had fled. And when people grew less and less patient with what the Red Queen was doing, the word of the little blonde girl got around. The girl who defied The Queen, and got away with her head attached.
Soon enough, people joined the White Queen, waiting for the day when the White Rabbit would fetch our young savior, and we'd be free from The Red Queens vice. But it took years to find her, and The White Queens following weakened, as it began to take much too long, and people gave into The Red Queen, she gave them a chance to reconsider, and many took that chance, secretly hoping that Alice would return sooner rather than later. The other followers stayed loyal to The White Queen, went into hiding, she took them in, made them a part of her court, or promised her protection for their help around the palace. They were given homes, and kept safe in her walls.
And then there's me, Rose Bishop of Underland, I don't much remember my mother, except that she lived here and she died suddenly one day. But I was born into world petticoats and etiquette. Sure the Queen is rather bonkers, but she does like her court to be fashionable and of course "presentable". If you don't match her style, you must be redone. That I didn't mind so much. What I did mind was her constant obsession over this Alice, I mean at my age, I pondered over what exactly a little girl could accomplish. And what was an Alice? It sounded as though her name was a made up word. Either way, I was content in my own world, and was almost completely oblivious to what went on outside the walls of my palace until I turned 16. Had I known constant executions took place, that people constantly depended on a girl who might never return, I might've felt differently. But then when she did return, my life truly began.
