Chapter 12: Killer Men and a Dangerous Mary

Opening her eyes Rose found herself and Mary upside down in the car. Groaning she whispered Mary's name in hopes that she doesn't give away that they were still alive. Mary who woke up coughing, finally realize the situation they were in and decided to wiggle her way out of the tight spot she was in, are you alright Rose she ask with panic. No I think my leg is stuck, I can't feel anything Rose cried out causing Mary to mutter cuss words.

When Mary finally freed herself she made her way out of the car, Mary Rose yelled and when she heard footsteps approaching she remain quiet for a few seconds before she called Mary again, this time her voice quivered. The feet of the person came into sight but they were not of Mary's feet, better yet they were not of women feet at all. The person crouch down and his face was reveal, a sinister smile came on his, well hello Rose we finally found you he said making Rose shiver with fear.

Judging by the accent, he was one of the Russian's from the Romano's mafia. What do you want Rose ask with venom and sent him the deadliest glare she can muster, she was feeling a sense of bravery run through her but that didn't last long when the man started laughing along with another. She didn't think that he would bring his friend along, like come on she could barely move properly and on top of that she hasn't even became a black belt yet, what harm can she possibly do.

Her thoughts were silent when something made noise in the woods, did you hear that one of the men ask, the other replied yeah and told him to check it out. As the man left for the woods, the other help Rose out by pulling the mash door open. Pulling Rose out and lifting her to her feet, he told her that his boss would be thrill to know we got his woman. Rose yank away from him but end up falling on her but due to her leg being injured, I am nobody woman, tell your boss to piss off.

Meanwhile the other man was walking slowly through the woods when he found a tan combat shoe  on the ground. He know that this shows belong to the woman they were meant to kill. I know you are here, we have unfinished business, your father along with the Appleton's played us bigtime. I bet Rose don't know the truth about her dearest family and how they screwed themselves when they made that deal years ago. Come out girly, when the man turn and to go back to the car he was meant with Mary who stab him in the neck then pull the knife out and stab it in his chest.

Falling to the ground blood was seeping through the wounds and his mouth, Mary lean over him, I would never allow you to harm her, she doesn't need to know about our families misfortune and when the time is right I will make sure she hears it from me and only me, so rot in hell you bastard, tell the others that you will join hi and make sure not to knock the devil off his throne. Seeing the life go out the man eyes she turn around and left to deal with the other before he harms Rose, she made a vow that Rose won't go through what she went through and she intends to keep it.

The man shook with anger hearing the words coming out of Rose mouth, so he decided to yank her up by her hair and slap her. Grabbing her chin he spoke with venom, If I was you I would watch would I say about your future husband, he does not tolerate disrespect. Rose rolled her eyes and said well I do not tolerate men claiming me nor do I tolerate people who go to great lengths to get what they want such as killing people, you know, like the lawyer you killed back in America.

Balling his fist, the man punch Rose in the face. I know Boss said don't harm you but it seems like you need a lesson in keeping your mouth shut. Rose spit out blood and laugh then said sarcastically, well someone needs to teach you how to become a real man, you know the one that doesn't lay a hand on women. When the man was about to hit Rose again, he fell down to the ground unconscious with Mary holding a rock. Come we have to get out of here for the others come, there might be more.

Grabbing Rose arm, she pulled her up only for her to groan in pain, dammit that hurts like hell Rose cried. I didn't think you feel pain for all that sass you were giving that dude who was hitting you like a punching bag, Mary said with amusement. That was to show him I wasn't afraid of him, even though on the inside I was scared as hell awaiting when he would snap and kill me quickly.

Mary laugh and sat Rose back down, listen I am going out to the road to find help, can you stay here for a while until I get back. No you can't leave me here alone, please I would try and walk as fast as I can but I can't be alone, not when other men can be out there, Rose said scared. Mary smile then spoke, I admired how you can turn your bravery on and off when necessary but right now I need you to be brave, looking around she walk over to the man and patted him.

Finally feeling what she was looking for she jingle it in front of Rose, found the keys now lets look for the car, it should not be that far from here. Nodding Rose pulled herself up and limp slowly to Mary, your doing good Mary said holding Rose in place, as they  walk  they spotted a car not too far from where they left. Placing Rose in the passenger seat, Mary quickly jumped in the driver's seat, starting the car they quickly proceeded to drive.  I  think we should tell me father what's going on, he needs to know the truth, Rose said exhausted with her eyes close before she fell asleep.

Mary knew Rose was right, with a deep breath she said what she had been dreading since she arrive, lets meet your father but I highly doubt he would want me around when he find out who I really am and what our families did to cause this ruckus. Driving Mary made her way to the Bartolomeo's Estate to meet the devil of the Italian mafia himself.
