She's taken a liking to sign language.
Everyday Midoryia taught her signs and different phrases. She was really happy by this, because then she was able to properly talk to him. He seemed like a nice and (cute) cool person to hang out with. It made her really happy when she was able to respond to whatever he's saying. Once he signed something that made her double over laughing for 5 minutes straight.
They usually sat in the cafeteria but it was too noisy, so they started looking around campus to find quieter places. They eventually found this table which became where they sat from now on.
Today was no different. Ochako sat there waiting for the mass of green hair to sit beside her, and it caught her off guard when she felt something push her to the side. She looked to said direction to find the boy looking up at her with a worried and apologetic expression. She simply signed, "hey it's alright, you didn't hurt me". He looked more relaxed and sat up.
Ochako extended her arms out on the table and was ready for whatever he was going to teach her. She was putting her arms back to her side when Midoryia reached out to poke her arm, trying to get her attention. Instead of arm, he grabbed her hand instead. Ochako froze and looked at Midoryia for a reaction but he just froze. His back was straight and his face suddenly turning red.
She laughed at this and took his hand entirely. When she saw him tense up, she rubbed her thumb over his arm and he seemed to relax. They sat that way for the whole break, signing with their available hands. Which, again, had her dying of laughter, with Midoryia laughing along with her.
