Soulmates- Part 5 (Finale)

Weeks had passed now. After that day Jaemin thought back to why Chenle was so upset when Jeno asked about his soulmate. Why did Chenle seem so upset, upset enough to make him storm out. Jaemin thought about it for weeks but just couldn't figure it out. And so he decided to text Jisung.

(Text to Jisung)

Jaemin: Hey

Jisung: Hey

Jaemin: Do you know why Chenle was so upset when Jeno asked about his soulmate?

Jisung: Well... I guess..... It's because Chenle felt that Jeno didn't want his soulmate. Not that he doesn't want one. But like... As in Jeno needed a rebound after Renjun you know? Because Jeno did really like Renjun, but Renjun found his soulmate. So Chenle felt that if he confessed that it was you he'd be hurting you because Jeno wouldn't really love you, but just use you as a rebound.

Jaemin: Wait.... So your saying that Chenle got upset because he thought of telling Jeno but he thought that Jeno would only use me as a rebound from Renjun?

Jisung: Pretty much.

Jaemin: But shouldn't he have to love me? Lol because we are soulmates?

Jisung: He would eventually. But Chenle couldn't live with the fact that for the first part of the relationship before he started loving you that he'd only use you to get over Renjun.

Jaemin: Ahhh.

Jisung: Yeah

Jaemin: Okay. Well thanks.

Jisung: Yeah. No problem.

After Jaemin asked Jisung, here was sitting in Jeno's room once again. Jeno was silently sitting at his desk with his book open. But Jaemin knew. Jeno wasn't even reading he was deep in thought. The silence was killing Jaemin so he decided to speak up. He got up from the bed but before he could speak up Jeno slammed his fist on his desk. This made Jaemin jump. Jeno got up and turned towards Jaemin. He stomped over and stood infront of Jaemin. "Why didn't you just tell me?" His question shocked Jaemin. "W-what?" Jaemin stuttered. "Why didn't you tell me?!" Jeno said. Jaemin was shocked at his tone. "Tell you what?" Jaemin asked. He was hoping Jeno wasn't talking about the soulmate thing. "That you were my soulmate." he soften his voice. "Jeno... I-" he was cut off by Jeno. "Was it because of what Jisung said?" Jaemin stepped back. "You went through my phone?" Jaemin asked. "Well how else would I find out? Jaemin, you've been on my mind ever since we met. I mean of course I liked Renjun but even before he broke up with me. I should have seen it from a mile away from the way he'd been acting. He'd seemed more distant. Anyways. Even before he broke up with me I've always thought of you." He stood there and waited for Jaemin response. Jaemin's eyes were currently glued to the ground. Jeno lifted up Jaemin's head. His eyes met with Jaemin's hurt ones. "If you knew. Jeno... That text was from two weeks ago. If you knew then why wait till now to tell me? Why?" Jeno stared at Jaemin wide eyed. "Jaemin. You've known this since we first met. I just found out two weeks ago. How was I suppose to react? Oh my Jaemin my love, my soulmate. Was that what I was suppose to say?" his voice soften at the end. "You could have said something." Jaemin muttered, the room went silent for a while. At that phrase Jeno's blood boiled. He took a few steps back "I could have said something? What about you Jaemin? Here I was suffering because of my break up with Renjun, but here I was thinking about how much I love you. You were over here and you knew all this time! You knew that we were soulmates yet you let me suffer." Jeno was breathy harshly after speaking. Jaemin's jaw tensed "You know what Jeno? Yes I did let you suffer, yes I did know all this time. But don't you dare say you were the only one that suffered. Don't you dare say that you were the only one in love. I risked everything for you Jeno! I risked my happiness, my love. All because I wanted to keep you happy while you were with Renjun." and with that Jaemin stomped out the door and to the front where he quickly slipped his shoes on.  He opened the door only for it to be slammed shut my Jeno. Jaemin turned around to face Jeno. Jeno's hand was beside Jaemin's head. "Why would you risk all that for me? For this stupid selfish person?" he asked Jaemin in the softest. Jeno already knew his answer. But he just had to hear it. "I couldn't because you were so happy, and I was willing to risk my happiness for you." Jaemin said. Content with that Jeno took Jaemin into an embrace. "I would have been more happier with you. Thankyou for not leaving me too. You're my light." Jaemin hugged him back "Of course. In times of darkness you always need a light."
