My Granny Poem :)
A granny awoke in a hospital bed
Wondering what was wrong with her head
She shaked nervously awaiting to see
What problems there could possibly be
The doctor then entered and was quite strait
"Your condition isn't that great"
He tried to continue and keep his routine
But granny asked "What do you mean?"
"Well here", he said, "You see,
Your bladder is the size of a pea,
Your bones already crackle and crunch,
And your back can't take the lazy hunch!
Your hearing aids don't do the trick,
And you can't even walk with a stick.
You quiver and shiver when it isn't cold
Your armpits have been growing mold.
There isn't a single hair on your head
And you have already peed on my spread!
I don't know what else to say;
But that this may be your last day."
"My last day?" she froze in shock!
"Seeing my life passing on the clock?"
"No!" she cried, "Don't you know
That I can't let this life go!
My heart still pounds to a great beat
My body fat's gone, so now I have meat
My legs are strong and move on their own
Heck! I am as strong as a stone!
So doctor can't you possibly see
That this is the incredible me?"
"Then perhaps you should go and leave
If not even I can make you believe"
So granny struggled to her cane
Put on a wig and grabbed her brain
And there she was out in the world
She limped and tripped and double twirled
And her robe opened as she twirled right
Giving people quite a sight
"Oh dear! Oh dear!" She said and ran
Before she was stopped by a hunky man
Well hey there momma! You look fine!"
He said using his cheesy line
Granny thought, "Wow! He's talking to me?!
Does he have glasses? What can he see?"
So they stood there without a clue
Of what else they could possibly do
And while they stared, they started to see
How much they were meant to be
"Carle's the name" he gently said.
"I'll buy you some clothes up ahead!"
