(Y/n)'s Point of View

A handsome man named Jack Morrison with a stunning royal blue coat and soft, golden hair sat across the table from me. He had the bluest eyes I had ever seen...they were distracting, almost hypnotizing. But, he did have a bloody nose for some reason. "Alright, let's get this straight. You're friends with that idiot a room over?"

"Yes, sir. I'm guessing he did that to you, huh?"

"Yeah...he did." He grumbled irritably, "Anyway," he continued, pinching the bridge of his nose, "your friend's name is Jesse McCree and you are (Y/n)?"

"The one and only." I shifted my hands in the cuffs...they were beginning to hurt. "Can you get me out of these cuffs? They're killing me."

"Mm, Gabe must have made them too tight. Sorry 'bout that." He got up from his seat and came around the table to take them off. I only expected him to loosen them, but I guess he trusted me enough already. They clattered to the ground as I tried to rub the pain out of my wrists. When he sat back down, a man dressed all in black opened the door, "Morrison, I want my 20 by the end of the day," He said with a grim smile.

Jack let out a profanity and groaned, "Get out, Gabe." The man named Gabe happily left, leaving the two of us alone again. "I guess I'll cut to the chase. We've recruited your friend. That's why I owe that son of a b- that's why I owe Gabe a 20," he sighed, "It seems like Jesse has lots of experience in combat," he paused,"...and so do you. We watched you fight our guards outside when they caught you. You're coordinated. That's something that Overwatch needs. So, would you consider joining?"

I thought for a moment before answering. "Yeah, sure. You said Jesse's in it, right? I'll do it."

Jack flashed a white smile, "Good. Welcome to the team." He held a hand out for me to shake, so I took it and smiled back.

"I'll have to talk with Gabe, Captain Amari, and Angela about training you and Jesse the proper way. For now, we'll get you both living quarters." He stood and gathered some papers on the table, stacking them neatly. Our eyes met again, and we both couldn't seem to look away. After a few moments, he finally broke the contact, "Just follow me," he said quickly.

"Actually, can I talk with Jesse first?"

He opened the door for me, "Uh, sure."

Jesse was already waiting outside the room, leaning against the wall. When the door opened he looked up and smiled at Jack and I. "Mr. Morrison. How's you're nose, sir?"

"Can it, kid." He shot a cold glare at him and walked briskly down the hall. Jesse's smile turned into a grin, "I'm gonna like it here, I think. It's fun messing with that guy. When I hit him he stormed out called me a low life. The guy I talked to won a 20 buck bet because he recruited me and that Morrison guy didn't."

"You're going to drive him insane, Jesse. He's actually pretty nice." I crossed my arms.

Jesse narrowed his eyes for a moment, "He recruited you, right? I'm not doin' this withoutcha."

"Yeah, he did." I uncrossed my arms and began walking in the direction that Jack had gone. I actually liked that guy... he was collected, he was pretty nice, and he was really handsome! Not to mention those eyes. The deep blue, solemn eyes...I mean, he was basically the whole package!

We finally found Jack talking to a pretty woman with white-blonde hair. Jack's bloody nose was gone, too. They both turned to Jesse and I as our footsteps fell. The woman grinned and immediately ran to Jesse.

"Oh! So handsome and strong! I wasn't expecting this! And is this your girlfrie-"

"No!" We both yelled at the same time with wide eyes.

"Gross," I muttered, "Jesse's like a brother to me."

"And (Y/n) is like my sister," he shuddered dramatically.

The woman put a hand over her heart and her eyes fell, "My sincerest apologies. Jack was talking to me about you. Oh, I'm Angela, or Dr. Zeigler, Overwatch's official healer!" She announced proudly, her mood quickly changing. Jack just smiled at us in the background as Angela began to ramble on about being the first healer of the team.

"Alright, Angela, that's enough. These kids need somewhere to sleep," Jack stepped toward us, "They must be exhausted."

Angela grinned and quickly nodded,"Oh, Jack, you're quite right! Follow me, if you would!" She turned on her heel and briskly walked down another corridor filled with framed documents. We passed through what Jack said was the dining hall and the training rooms. He explained how they each worked as we continued.

Jesse had a question about the dining hall. "We get free food whenever we want it?"

Jack nodded, "You could put it that way, yes." Jesse grinned and rubbed his hands together. I just rolled my eyes at him.

When we finally made it to the living quarters, Angela showed Jesse his room and Jack showed me to mine. My room was of medium size with a full bed in the corner, a tall wardrobe next to it, and a skylight in the ceiling. It was almost empty, besides the bed and wardrobe, but it was nice. I liked it. Jack leaned on the door frame, "It's boring right now, but if you want to put anything else in here you're free to do that."

"Awesome. Thanks." I smiled at him and put my hands in my cargo short's pockets. He gave a small, quick smile back, but then he sighed,"Get some rest. I still have to talk with Gabe and Captain Amari tonight. I'll let you know what we decide in the morning, alright?"

"Yes, sir."

Jack began to leave but quickly turned around,"You don't have to call me 'sir', (Y/n). We're going to be friends, I can tell, so we'll drop the formalities." He smiled once more before shutting the door.

I was most definitely going to like it there, all thanks to that Jack Morrison.
