I Like A Guy?

Keith loves the Kogane Bakery with all of his heart. When his mother tells him that they are moving, his whole life crashed down on him.

"Mom! We can't just leave. All of my friends are here! What about the Bakery?" Keith said.
"Keith get over yourself! We are just going on vacation. Your uncle volunteered to watch the Bakery while we are gone and it's summer." Keith's mother said, her voice filled with annoyance toward her privileged son. "But Keith also remember that there is going to be a science expo at the Smithsonian! We were all going to go as a family." Oh. Keith had forgotten about the expo. The Science Expo of 2018 was said to be one of the most popular science openings since Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. Keith's mom looks satisfied with her sons reaction. "See?" She said to Keith's father. "I told you he would forget! His memory is about as good as yours!" They all started laughing. It was going to be a fun vacation.

Keith saw the Smithsonian before both of his parents. He was walking way ahead of them. He couldn't believe it. I'm at the real Smithsonian! Keith thought. "MOM! DAD! We're here!" He yelled back to his parents. They looked behind him and saw the building and couldn't believe their eyes. The Smithsonian was huge and they couldn't wait to get inside. When the family finally made it up to the door, Keith was bursting with excitement. He couldn't wait any longer! He walked in ahead of his parents and saw everything. He saw the Apollo 13 and the Wright brothers aircraft. He saw a whole bunch of people at little stations with different inventions. He even saw a cute Cuban boy with blue eyes- Wait. What? Where did that come from? He was so caught up in his thoughts that he had run into a guy. A cute one at that. He has gorgeous blue eyes and was quite tall. He has tan skin that looked smooth and beautiful, fluffy hair. At least, it looked fluffy. As looked into his saviors arms he realized he had been holding him. Keith quickly righted himself and apologized quickly. The other boy looked half shocked. "I didn't know cute boys had to apologize." He said, a smirk plastered on his face. Keith felt a blush creep onto his face. "Uh. I- I'm Keith." Keith finally said. "The name's Lance. Now, what might a cute boy like you be walking around here all alone for?" Lance asked. Keith looked at himself. Lance had called him cute twice. Keith wouldn't consider himself cute... "I'm here with my mother and father." Keith said, regaining his confidence. "And I should probably get back to them." Lance looked a little disappointed. "Ok. Would you like me to help you find them?" Keith would love to say yes. But still he says no. "Ok! See you around some time?" Lance says, handing Keith a paper. It had his number on it. "Talk to you later Lance!" Keith called after reading the paper, but Lance was gone.

Lance knew his mother would never approve of him having a crush on a guy... But when he looked into Keith's glowing purple eyes and his raven black hair that curved down into a well groomed mullet he couldn't help himself. Keith was downright beautiful.

Lance knew he liked Keith the moment Keith fell into his arms. He felt so delicate, like a flower. But he looked so fierce, like a rose with thorns. He really hoped Keith would text him. Maybe he would if Lance had gotten his number instead. Idiot, Lance thought.

Three hours later Keith texted Lance. Keith had thought and thought about what he would say. He typed up so many starters like, Hey. Or, Hi. He finally decided on: Hey. This is Keith.

Keith: hey. This is Keith. Is this Lance?

Lance/Cute Guy: hey Keith! Yes it's Lance. What are you doing tomorrow?

Keith: nothing, why?

Lance/Cute Guy: wanna go to the Cornerstone Coffee Shop? Super good coffee ;)

Keith: i will go if you don't send the ;) face anymore. How about at noon?

Lance/Cute Guy: okay :) goodnight cutie

Keith: goodnight Lance

That was it. Lance had called him a cutie... Keith should have said something like that too, right? He didn't know anymore. She just wanted to sleep it off.

Lance got to the cafe early so Keith would know where to sit. When he saw Keith with his cute red crop-top jacket and his skinny leans Lance fell head over heels. Again. "Hey" Keith said, breaking Lance out of his trance. "Hey Keith. I was wondering, are you wearing space pants? Because you are outta this world." Keith blushed then thought of a comeback. "No, these are baseball pants because I'm outta your league." Lance looked shocked. He then laughter and gave Keith a hug. "Thanks man. You are the only person who has ever done that."
"Done what? Broken your ego?" Keith asked, giggling. Lance laughed a whole-hearted, happy laugh. He then called the waiter over and Keith ordered a Cupcake Crème Latte while Lance got a black coffee. "I like it because it's like my soul. Black." Keith let out a little laugh and they just talked about life until Keith had to go. "Text me later Keith, okay?" Lance called to Keith. Keith gave him a small smile and said, "Lance, I look forward to talking to you later. See ya later, cutie." He then winked and walked away. Dang, Lance liked him.
