"I told you to get whiskey! What is this?!" Yells my father throwing a plate at me,"Uh I-it's uh" I stutter as I try to avoid all the plates he's throwing at me,
"It's fucking bourbon not whiskey you little bitch!"
This is the daily routine, my dad will ask me for bourbon but when I get back he'll claim he wanted whiskey and if I do get him whiskey he'll say he wanted bourbon it's a non stop loop, my dad can't leave the house he's a wanted criminal so I always have to go, what keeps me from running away is my father's threat to kill my only friend Amy and I value her life over any other because she's always been there for me,
A couple hours later I have to go get lunch, I wrap myself in a big scarf cover the bruises on my cheeks and I put up my hoodie to cover my black eyes and I head out the door and the cold air smacks me straight on the face I push my hood further down and then begin the long walk to the store to get pizza that I won't get a single slice of and soda for my dad and then rice to myself, I get the stuff and check out, on my way out the door I smash into a wall, I back up and look up to see I smash into a tall man with, a blue t-shirt that is shown through the unzipped part of his jack, he's warring blue jeans and has short blond hair and a beard to match,
"I-I'm sorry sir I didn't see you." I stutter,
"It's alright." He says looking down at me with his beautiful light blue eyes and then I realize who it was,
"Captain America?!" I yell shocked
"I prefer Steve, What's your name?"
"Uh I'm Abri, nice to officially meet the man that saved New York."
"It's nice to meet you to."
"I wish we could talk longer but I must be getting home."
"Well here's my number, text me." He says handing me a piece of paper,
"Ok, I'll see ya." I say and as I leave I put a piece of paper with my number on it in his hands,
I got home and my dad was pissed I was late, but I tried not to pay much attention to him and went to my room, I plop down on my bed with my bowl of rice and I get a text, I look at my phone and it's from an unknown number I check the text and it says,
"Hey Abri What's up? -Steve"
"Since I last saw you which was an hour ago nothing lol. -Abri"
"Cool do you want to meet up tomorrow? -Steve"
"Sure, where? -Abri"
"At the first floor of Stark Tower at eight. -Steve"
"Ok see you then. -Abri"
"Ok can't wait 😘. -Steve"
He sends the last text and I blush at the winky face,
"So what will we be doing Steve? -Abri"
"I could take you to lunch and then I could show you are Stark Tower. -Steve"
"Sounds great, 😊. -Abri" I send the last one and then I turn my phone off and continue to eat.
I wake up at 6 AM today because my next door neighbors thought it was a good time to yell at each other, I groggily get up and get ready for today, I put on my long sleeve t-shirt and black jeans and black and white high tops then I put on my hoodie and slip out the door before my father can get up,
'what to do for the next to hours?' I think to myself then I decide to go to Central Park and look around for the next 2 hours,
2 hours flew by and I head to Stark Tower, I walk into the front door and immediately feel embarrassed everyone looks so fancy in business attire and I'm warring an old torn hoodie with ripped jeans and my hair's up in a ponytail, I get a few weird stares and then I realize I forgot to put makeup over my bruises, and I get somehow more embarrassed, I try and ignore people staring and I look around in amazement why the beautiful building,
"Hey you made it." Says a familiar voice and I move my attention from the ceiling and walls and look to see Steve walking towards me, when he sees my black eyes he practically runs up to me
"What happened?!" He yells frantically grabbing my face,
"It's nothing."
"It's anything but nothing!"
"I just fell that's all."
"Abri please tell me the truth." He says with pleading and caring eyes and I let out a sigh, here goes nothing.
