"Where are they meeting us?" I asked Kassie as we both fished our luggage out of the spinning luggage thing at the terminal.
"Right in the parking garage," she said, "I think."
It has been seven months since I started dating Kian, and today I will finally get to start my summer with him in LA. On account that I really hate North Carolina, I'm eighteen now, and Kassie could come with me, my mom finally agreed to let me try out LA for a few months before I make my college decision about coming here or staying local. Although, I think my decision is already made.
"Is that them?" Kassie asked me, pointing a finger towards two tall boys standing across the garage, leaning against a dark colored SUV.
"Kian!" I yelled out.
He looked up from his phone immediately. There's my boy.
I picked up speed, trotting along the cement with my rolling luggage. When I finally reached him, he engulfed me in a deep hug, where I could finally smell the real him and not just the scent that was left on his clothing that I stole.
"Hi, baby." He whispered to me, rubbing a tiny circle on the middle of my back.
"I missed you so fucking much." I told him, followed by a deep kiss I gave him on the lips.
"What about me?" I heard a voice say from behind me, "Did you miss me?"
"Ricky!" I yelled, Kassie switching partners with me so that she could hug Kian. Since Kassie is my best friend and she's dating Ricky, Kian's best friend, the four of us decided to get a little apartment together for the summer while Kassie and I are in LA. Not only am I able to live with my best friend and my boyfriend, but I get to live with Ricky, who has grown to be one of my best guy friends.
"One more thing before we go home," Kian told us all, adjusting his rear view mirror as we were settled in the car, "Jack wants us to swing by his apartment. He misses you both."
Kassie nodded and smiled from the back seat, "He texted me."
Kian leaned over and kissed my cheek once more and told me, "Welcome to LA, beautiful. Officially."
I smiled and told him, "It's much better than being 2,624 miles away."
