It all started one Saturday morning. I woke up and decided to go check the mail. Inside were the normal weekly things, such as the new pets that were up for adoption. But nothing interested me more than finding the letter, that would let me know if I had been accepted at Present Hall College. This college is as only for the best students in the state. As far as I knew, there wasn't anything holding me back from getting accepted. I found the letter at the very bottom of the pile. With my trembling hands, I cut open the white envelope in came in. I took out the paper inside, and started reading from the very top. It said I had many missing assignments in middle school, and my senior year of high school. As I kept reading, I found I had not been accepted. I was absolutely devastated. I was angry at myself for those assignments for holding me back. I just wanted to go home, but at the same time run away.
