Mel ran as fast as her legs could take her. She was surrounded by darkness. Pitch black darkness that threatened to reach out and choke her to death at any moment. Behind her, she could hear the thing cackling. The person, thing more like, was chasing her, possessing her lover. Sweat was pouring down her face and every breath burned like the fire of Hell in her throat but she refused to stop.
"You can't run from me forever Melanie. I know how you really feel. You're afraid. I can sense it." The booming voice of the demon seemed to surround her, growing closer with every step she took. It was coming for her and she had no way to stop it. She almost plowed into the creature when it appeared in front of her. The once lovable and soft smile he used to have now twisted into a smile that the words 'demonic and evil' couldn't describe. His eyes snapped from the bright apple green that she loved to pitch black.
"You can't escape me, Mel. There's nowhere for you to run." Her face lost all of its color and it showed just how afraid she was. The thing possessing Dean took out a blade from behind his back. Dean's pocket knife. Mel closed her eyes, waited for the inevitable. But it never came. Instead, she opened her eyes to be met with her and Dean's bedroom back in the Bunker. It was all just a nightmare.

I was laying on my side, facing away from the bed. It was completely silent except for the soft breathing of Dean behind me. It was all just a nightmare. A terrible and horrific nightmare. I turned myself towards Dean, slowly so I didn't wake him. He looked so peaceful. Except, well he was peacefully sleeping wrapped up in every single blanket we had on the bed. To make matters worse, the fan on the dresser near the foot of the bed was going on full blast, pulling down the cold air from the register above it. Last night we had all agreed on turning down the a/c to fifty degrees since it was so hot outside and we could even barely move without sweating. I now fully regretted agreeing with Sam and Dean on that. The air coming from the propped up box fan was as cold as the Devil's breath. Dean was always such a freeze baby. I rolled my eyes to myself and tried to pull the blankets out from him. I didn't get very far as he had them wrapped all the way around him and tucked under himself. I sighed and turned back over. I apparently was going to have to fall back asleep with no blankets or get up and get another one. I could hear Dean rustling behind me as he usually did. I screamed a little when what I hoped was Dean's hand wrapped itself around my waist and pulled me closer towards him.
"Shh. It's okay. It's just me." He whispered in my ear. Once my body was up against his he adjusted the blankets to cover both of us. He wrapped his arms around my waist and nuzzled his head into my back. I giggled softly to myself. Dean could be such a big teddy bear sometimes.
