Real stars are born with that special spark. It's when the newspaper people come to take a photo of you and you look like you're smiling. I was one of those babies. My sister, kind of. She's the captain of the Lady Porcupines Basketball Team. I was Stephanie Einstein on the hit tv show, Sing It Loud! Most people think that the producers of Sing It Loud! just found me on the street and hired me. Well those people are wrong. Very, very wrong.

I was watching a season 3 episode of my show when the doorbell rang. We (my family) weren't expecting anyone so I opened the door, surprised when I saw who it was.

"Hi Liv! I have some very important news!" My manager, Becki Bickelhoff, said.

"Hi Becki. What's the news?" I said.

"It's about your singing career. I have good news and bad news." Becki said.

"What's the good news?" I asked curiously.

"The good news is that you're going to write a song with Austin Moon!" Becki exclaimed.

Oh. My. Gosh. The Austin Moon is going to write a song with me, Olivia Rooney?!

"That's great, Becki. What's the bad news?" I asked, being the mature 16 year old that I am.

"The bad news is that you have to fly to Miami to work with Austin. Here are your tickets." Becki said, handing me the tickets.

Wait a sec. Tickets? I counted the number of tickets and was surprised that I could bring a family member!

"Wait. The tickets say that I have to leave Tuesday at 9am. I'm at school on Tuesday!" I told Becki.

Which is more important? School or my career? I decided that this might be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so my career is more important.

"Remember, you leave for the airport on Tuesday at 6am! I'll pick you up then!" Becki said, leaving.
Who should I take with me? I thought to myself.

I ran up the stairs to me and Maddie's room.

"Maddie! Guess what?" I asked.

"What? Did something awesome come?" Maddie asked, trying to look behind my back, where I was holding the tickets.

"I get to write a song with the Austin Moon! I also have to go to Miami to work with him and I get to take a family member with me! Isn't that great?" I explained.

"That's awesome! Who are you taking?" Maddie asked.

"I'm talking to you, aren't I?" I said.

"When do we leave?" Maddie asked.

"We have to be there Tuesday at 9am. But Becki is gonna pick us up at 6am."

"It's a good thing that I have basketball practice on Monday. Does Mom know about this?"

"I don't think so."

Just then, my mom stormed in.

"Becki told us the news. She said that I have to supervise you and the extra person. Who are you taking?" Mom asked.

"I'm taking Maddie." I told her.

"Okay. Get packing." Mom ordered us.
