Fear. The one thing that we can't get rid of. We're all scared of something in our lives. Admit it. There's something that has been following you to where you are this entire time...
The shivers down your spine, the heart racing and thumping and pounding, the thing that you see in the corner of your innocent eye.
The shadow is what we are all afraid of, the monsters underneath our beds. We are too scared to look, for we know their capabilities.
The nightmares that wake us up just before something fatal occurs, the tears that our mothers wipe of our faces when we wake up.
Whether we remember them or not, nightmares will always be with us. So will the monsters that we observe inside of them.
When it's dark, the world seems petrifying. When the lights are out, we scream out for our loved ones to turn back on the bedside lamp.
The light makes us calm, makes us happy. We all regret turning out the lights eventually, even parents themselves...
Then, once all evil has departed from us, we hear three- loud knocks on our door. Knock, knock, knock.
You freeze. Your heart freezes too. Without even thinking about it, you sweep off your duvet and under your bed.
The three, ear-bursting knocks suddenly stop. Your heart becomes average again, boom boom- boom boom- boom boom.
You lay your delicate hand onto your chest. A sigh of relief is expelled from your worn-out lungs.
Finally, peace at last. The cheeping birds have tired you down to a relaxing hour of sleep.
Until, a growling sound is heard from under your bed- which unexpectedly wakes you right up.
Also, the the three knocks returns- even louder this time, even more ear-bursting.
All this at once, all the anger, all the fear escapes from your body once again...
AGGGGGHHHHH!!!
Screaming allows our fright to depart from us, then more screaming causes more fear.
Just one scream can frighten off the demons and creatures and beasts in our room.
We all know that these demons and these creatures and these beasts are surely to be following us around, even when you least expect it...
