Chapter 1

Liz's POV

I just got done with  afternoon classes at the community  college  and am starving. I see the most adorable cupcake shop and run up , staring at the window , wishing I could have one ,even though I know I can't because all my money goes to bills since my mom left and my dad uses all of his for   his drug addiction. I look up and see this  man staring at me  and he starts talking , " hi , my name is Alik, if you'd like I could get you a cupcake," with a wink he added ,"Cupcake." I softly replied " I'm Liz,  and yes, please"  Something  just made me say yes even though I knew it would cause trouble later on with dad. We walked inside the shop and I quickly ran to the counter  finding a yummy rainbow looking cupcake and looked up at Alik with pleading eyes. "Sure cupcake, if that is the one you want you can get that one. " I quietly thanked him and went to sit at the table waiting for him to bring me the delicious looking cupcake , til my phone started to ring. I knew I couldn't stay, so I made up an excuse and rushed out of there , to get home before I get into deep trouble again.  Rushing home, I made it just in time to see dad passed out from  , only what I can assume is alcohol  from all the bottle thrown everywhere. I sneak upstairs to my room, eating one of my snacks that I  have hidden  in my room. I  realize I may never meet Alik ever again, or even get to talk to him  because I forgot to get his number.

Alik's POV

Liz, such a beautiful  girl,  just ran out on me with out getting her cupcake, Cupcake, Cupcake, Cupcake, that is what she will be my little. My little Cupcake Liz. God, all  I can think about is how she ran out in a rush. Her life must not be good at home. I will take my cupcake away from all that and show her  what she needs and cherish her like she deserves. Crap , I'm falling in love and haven't even gotten her number. I will keep coming back here til I see  my beautiful  little Cupcake again.
