Chapter 1

Alfies POV:

I opened my eyes to hear the bird tweeting outside, the fresh air breathed through the room. I turned over in my bed, and hit the snooze button on my alarm clock. Got up and dressed, I headed downstairs and off to the shops. There was this new girl who worked at gleam. Zoe? I think her name was and we were meeting for coffee this morning, I was nervous. I headed into waitrose and then to Starbucks for coffee. I took a deep breath. "You can do this Alfie."I told myself and walked inside. There sat the beautiful girl who I had imagined. Blonde hair, blue eyes and sweet smile. I smiled at her and sat down. From that second onwards she was my best friend. She made me laugh, smile and happy. It was time to leave, I gave her a long hug and it just felt right. Like she was the one for me. It was now Wednesday, two days after I had met her. I had invited her to my flat for a day. My phone started to ring, it was her! "Hey alf! I'm downstairs can you let me in?" She said with her sweet voice. "Come right up!" I said smiling and blushing.i felt like I needed to tell her how I really felt rather than keeping my feels all inside. I was scared that she wouldn't feel the same way and hate me. Or maybe she did feel the same? She walked up the stairs and knocked on the door."bang bang!"I opened the door and we started into each others eyes for seconds before snapping out of it. "Hey Zoe!" I said breaking the silence. "I missed you Alfie!" She said walking in. I sat down on the sofa with her and had our lunch. "Hey um Zoe." This was the moment I thought to myself. "Yeah?" She said taking another bite of her salad. "I kind of.... like you?" I said trying not to cry. Yes I was a man, but I have feelings. Zoe stared at me at first before starting to laugh. "I love you too silly."She said jumping into my arms for a cuddle. This was my one and only and I loved her more than anyone ever. She was my world and my little one and I needed her.
