"Savannah.."
"Yeah?" I asked as my eyes welted with tears.
"It's time for you to sing.. Can you do it?"
"I think so.."
I stood up, pulling my dress back down to my lower thigh. I walked up to the podium and turned my head to see my cousins cold, lifeless body.
"Hi, I'm Savannah, and I'm here to sing a song I wrote for my cousin, my best friends passing.." I closed my eyes and let a tear fall down my cheek, "It's called 'what about angels'."
Everyone watched as I made my way to the piano with my sheet of paper.
I sat down, putting my music sheet on the piano and lightly stroked the keys I was about to play with my fingers.
"We know full well there's just time
So is it wrong to dance this line?
If your heart was full of love
Could you give it up?
'Cause what about, what about angels?
They will come, they will go, make us special
Don't give me up
Don't give...
Me up
How unfair, it's just our luck
Found something real that's out of touch
But if you'd searched the whole wide world
Would you dare to let it go?
'Cause what about, what about angels?
They will come, they will go, make us special
Don't give me up
Don't give...
Me up
'Cause what about, what about angels?
They will come, they will go, make us special
It's not about not about angels, angels"
I let tears flow from my eyes as my head hung and I stared at the piano keys.

After everything I was called over by my mom to talk to someone,
I walked over to my mom and a young boy, whom was quite attractive.. His dark brown, almost black, hair flopped perfectly on his forehead as his under-eyes had bags, his eyes were red as well as his nose.
"Honey, this is Aaron. He was Luke's best friend." She looked at me before rubbing my back and walking away.
"Hi, I'm Savannah." I plastered a fake smile on my face.
"I know, can I have your number?"
"We're at a funeral and you have the nerve to ask for my number? Seriously?"
"No." He weakly chuckled, "Luke told me that I was the only person that could watch out for you like he did.. Here's the letter he gave me in the hospital.."
"I don't want to read it, I believe you.."
"Here," He handed me his phone, "Put your number in.."
I typed it in slowly, "Text me whenever." I said, hugging him before walking away.
The only reason I hugged him was because we both lost someone close to us and that person meant the world.

I got home and plugged my phone in since it was completely dead.
As I took my laptop off my desk and sat on my bed, my phone went off frantically.. Probably just texts from friends and family. At this moment I didn't really care.
I opened the photos app on my computer and clicked the last video I made with Luke and started watching it.
-"HI IT'S LUKE AND I'M HERE WITH MY BEAUTIFUL COUSIN, SAVANNAH!" He yelled into the camera.-
I laughed as I wiped a tear from my face.
-"Today we're going on a road trip to a bunch of different drive thrus and basically pranking them."-
I shut my laptop, breaking down in tears..
I couldn't stop thinking about how something could be so vicious.
Fuck cancer.
FUCK CANCER.
