It was a dark evening. Cold, and rainy. He threw his pick into the cold shade of cream. As soon as he pulled back, he heard  a deep moan from behind. He turned sharply on his heel and to his suprise, the disembodied figure looming toward him. It had eyes of night, a green skin, and broken jawline. The miner pierced the zombie with striking force, killing him with only a few hits from his grey stone sword. As the lifeless body fel to the ground, the miner placed a single, flickering torch against the stone. A sigh fell before him. He needed better gear, but no one would help him. So, he was left to find his own stinking iron in the community mines. He collected the peice of iron, stuffing it into his backpack slung against his back.

It was a long walk bac to the town, but it was getting darker s he would have to move quickly. In a burst of sudden realization, he leapt forward, placing each foot against the hard ground in swift motions as he ran out of the cave. Suddenly, he stopped, seeing a creeper in the distance. It turned to face him, then started moving in his direction. He pulled out his stone sword, ready. Bursting out, he lashed the green monster with the sword. But, it was only a distraction, as he turned running away toward the city. He had no time to fight theses stupid mobs.

As he reached the city, it was about Midnight. He walked quickly thrught the empty streets to his house. Pushing open the door, he was greeted by a bark and a pounce from the happy puppy. He stopped, petting the fluffy, grey dog with a red leather collar. He then moved forward into the bedroom where he placed the iron in the double chest  beside his bed. He was doing well for a pvp server. Snap! He fell to the ground with a thud. Looking back he saw a looming figure staring coldly at him. His eyes a familiar white....

        Herobrine!

He struggled, getting up, sword in hand, and swung at the mythical creature. It dodged, teleporting behind him and pushing him back down. It was like he was just playing with him. He gripped the leather handle of his sword, knocking the man off his feet. A loud thud was heard, followed by an ear-peircing screech. Outside the window he saw a giant white creature flying around, shooting fireballs at the innocent inhabitants. When he looked back, the intruder was gone.

As the ghast was taken down by the people in the streets, he sat down on his bed, hands weaving through his hair as he raced from thought to thought. "Why was he here?" "What did he want with me?" "Will he come again?"

Laying his head on the pillow, he slowly closed his eyes, unaware of the fully open ones peering at him through the darkness. The white eyes scanned the miner, up and down, back and forth, studying his strengths, and his weaknesses. He chuckled, this would be fun, but for another time. He decided to leave a present for the sleeping man. He planted a kiss on his forhead.

        "Goodnight Steve."

(Yes I know I ship them goodbye)
