Healing Rose

I, Ken Shaw vow to always protect my pack" I said loudly conveying my sincerety to my pack members.

The entire pack was gathered to witness the alpha's coronation. I hope my mate was one of them.

Suddenly a sweet scent reached my nose. I looked around and my eyes found a beautiful girl standing in a corner.

I went to her and put my hand on her shoulder but she turned jerking my hand cowering away from me. " Please don't hit me.", she cried.

" I won't" I said shocked but then noticed a bruise on her face.

"Who had the audacity to hurt you, my mate" I said angrily.

What?" she said looking confused, "But my mate is Sam"

" No, its me, don't you feel our bond" I asked but soon realised she was human.I knew that a human will love their mate but gradually." No, I am your true mate and not some bluff named Sam" I said confidently

She was so tiny, I wanted her in my arms. But then a built man came and caught her wrist in a bruising hold.

" Rose i should collar you" he said and I just knew, "You hurt my mate" I shouted and lunged at him wanting to kill him but she stopped me.

" Tell her the truth" I barked.

" I am not your mate, I lied to you so that you are forced by state laws to stay with me" but before he could finish she yelled," You asshole you lied to me and then abused me". She kicked him hard.

She then faced me and said boldly," Even when if you are my true mate I will need time, lots of it.". With that she ran away.

I vowed to wait for her even if its forever.
