Excerpt from Chapter one: A new life!

... We looked at each other as we entered the school, passing through the crowd of other kids. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who thought that a Mienshao would stand out in this school. We barely made it to the door, which was the only clear place, before meeting the Welcoming Party, a blue Gardevoir and a Mawile "Are you two Miki and Cotton Shanghai?" The Gardevoir asked curiously, I guessed she was a girl, and nodded along with Cotton. She smiled "My name is Psy and this is-" "Konichiwa!" the Mawile yelled happily, she bowed. Without a second thought, Cotton and I bowed back to her. She looked surprised and started speaking to us again in the other language,Japanesse, I believe.  She introduced herself and said her name was Miko. I looked over at Psy, with an obviously confused look on her face, I quickly filled her in on our conversation while Cotton and Miko continued talking, I wasn't listening completely, but from what I could catch, the two seemed to have a lot in common "Sorry for keeping you out of the conversation," I appoligized to Psy in English  "we have a tendancy to do that." Psy smiled "It's ok, it's nice to know that our two new students are linguists." I blushed, out of embarassment, and pushed my glasses back into place. Cotton and Miko started walking off on their own, Psy looked at Miko in shock "Miko! Where're you going?" Miko looked back at us  and spoke in Japanesse before they both took off. Psy looked at me expactantly, hoping I would tell her what she said. "She said, 'They're going to look for the cutest boys in the school'..." I told her quietly. She had a very funny look on her face "Well...," Psy spoke in an amused tone, " it looks like I just learned something about your sister." I chuckled nervously " I think we both learned something about my sister today..." ...
