OLIVER POV

My first day at a new school. I hope it goes great. I walked in and had to ask for directions to the office from a girl who if you asked me I would say she was about 17. Girl:"Down the hall second door on the right." Oliver:"Thank you so much" I walk to where she said. I opened the door and found the principal sitting at her desk. Mrs. Janson:"Hello you must be Oliver" Oliver:"Yep that's me" We shake hands before I sit down. Mrs. Janson:"We have someone to show you around the school because you have most of the same classes together" As soon as she said that someone knocked at the door. Mrs. Janson:"Come in Alex." The boy walks in carefully. And flashes a smile. He had dark brown hair and dimples. He has beautiful brown eyes. He is wearing a purple shirt that said "all I need is food and attention" with magenta jeans and a light pink jacket around his waist. He is cute. Wait Stop it Oliver you can not show affection to guys that is against your code. All of a sudden his eyes turn yellow with excitement. "Now Alex, I told you to stay in control of your powers this could scare children away." Alex:"Sorry I can't help my eyes they tell what my emotions are." Oliver:"Whoa how did you do that. No human on Earth has been reported with yellow eyes before. That is more than we are humanely capable of having." He giggles. Alex:"I don't think I will be scaring him any time soon." His face turns to a look of concern and his eyes turn purple. "I hope not." Mrs. Janson:"Alex you are the guide of Oliver. You and him have a total of 5 periods together including lunch. Oliver here is your schedule for school." She hands me a strip of paper. "Now off to class" Alex grabs my wrist and tugs me out the door. He slams the door a little too hard. He quickly peaks in saying sorry and then he looks at his schedule. Alex:"What is your first class" Oliver:"Band with Mr. Kimmel" Alex:"Ok let's go." He grabs my arm and his eyes turn grey with hurry. We run to band. We go to the back and you may not know this but I am a wizard so I shrunk my picolo and the case and put it in my pocket. Alex went to the back to grab his trumpet. Mean while I was unshrinking my picolo. Alex walked out with his trumpet. Alex:"Where did that come from?" Oliver:"You didn't see it on my back??" I smirked. Alex:"Whoa new kid has layers." The bell rings and Alex gets in his seat but I have to stand because I have to introduce myself. Mr. Kimmel:"Class this is Oliver he is a new student" Oliver:"H-hello" I half smiled and then I saw Alex staring at me with pink eyes and I rubbed my neck. He looked at Mr. Kimmel and remembered something. Suddenly he grew long hair that turned a hazel color. Even his skin turned a shade lighter. Mr. Kimmel pointed to the empty seat next to Alex. I sat down and his? eyes turned yellow. Oliver:*whispering*"What just happened I saw it all from the front." Alex:"Oh I remembered that in this class at the beginning of the year I was female so I changed. My pronouns change with my gender so they are now she and her." Oliver:"Wait you actually have powers? I thought Mrs. Janson was just joking." Alex:"No Mrs. Janson is almost always serious about everything." Mr. Kimmel starts telling us to play a song. You could be in groups or solo either way most of them were good. Alex:"What song do you wanna play?" Oliver:"Let's play parade of the sunset." Alex:"ok got it" He puts the sheet on the stand and the group next to us just ends. Mr. Kimmel:"NEXT" Alex quickly changes his eye color to brown and we played and the song ends. Mr. Kimmel:"Good job"

It is our lunch period. Alex and I grab our food and he I mean she runs to a table with people. I walk over to where she is and ask to sit down. Faith:"And who is this" Alex:"Oh yeah this is the new student Oliver. Oliver, this is Faith" The girl to my right smiles. "This is Oscar." She points to the guy across from me. Oscar smiles shyly. "And this is Rebecca" Rebecca:"Hi" Oliver:"H-hello everyone" I sit down. I feel a wierd tension between Alex and Oscar I wonder what happened.

Alex POV

Why did they have to bring Oscar over here to our world of wierd table. He has liked me in both forms since we were young. He sorta stopped showing that he did because I had gotten a boyfriend. Chase was a football player. He was bisexual and has mainly dated boys which is surprising. Then me and Chase broke up and Oscar didn't know what to do so he just stopped for a while but here he is. Oliver and Rebecca practically, no actually, dragged him over to this table. Alex:" Faith do you have my book?" Faith:"Yea why?" Alex:"I need to see read something out of it" Faith hands me the book and I turn to the page. Alex:"Deep inside the cave crude. A monster lives without a mood. Using moods that he sees. He strikes the warrior down to their knees. Only the one who gives him a mood. The town will live in peace with the monster of crude." I close the book. "I need volunteers to go with me to the cave crude in California. Anyone in" I look around hoping I didn't have to do this alone. Faith:"Why wouldn't I. We are best friends." Oscar:"I would die to help the the world. *Mumbles* and you." Rebecca:"Uh duh. Our squad has done this before. Well not this exact thing but you know what I mean. Anyway I'm in." Oliver:"Well you are my only friends here and I am sorta shy so I guess I will go. But what about school and my family." Alex:"I will take care of that." The bells rings for our free time. Alex:"Come on Oliver let's go" I grab his arm and rush to the principal's office with emerald eyes. I open the door and take a seat with Oliver waiting by the door. Alex:"Mrs.Janson, uestqay niyay aliforniacay." We have done this a lot with different locations. She knows what I mean. Mrs. Janson:"Do you know how many days?" Alex:"No but I will inform you when we are heading back" Mrs. Janson:"Who is going with you this time" Alex:"The usual plus Oliver" Mrs. Janson:"*whispers* Are you sure he can handle it?" Alex:"Trust me he might get used to it if he is my friend." She chuckles a little. "Oh by the way what are we gonna do about Oliver's parents." Mrs. Janson:"Leave that to me" I nod and get up. I waved goodbye and drag Oliver out the door. Alex:"What class do you have next?" Oliver:"I have Gym with Coach Stevens" Alex:"I am sorry. You will be on your own. I have Science with Mr. Sarton" We wave goodbye and walk a little. Oliver:"Is it a bad time to mention I don't know where the Gym is?" Alex:"Is it a bad time to mention they are in the same direction and I was just walking further away from it?" We both laugh. I walk back to him and grab his arm. I sorta rush with grey eyes as we have been doing all day.  We have to get this done. I hope he doesn't get hurt.

A/N I am so sorry that this is so long. This is the first chapter of the book. Just like my other books you can put your character name, a description, and What connection you want them to have with the characters. It would also be helpful if you put in the grade and age.
