A year and a half ago, my life was completely different. For starters, I lived in Australia, I only had 978k on Instagram, and, I didn't have a baby who's dad is nowhere to be found.
A year and a half ago, it was May 26, 2016. Now, it's the 26th of November, 2017.
May 26, 8:00 am
Today, I woke up with excitement rushing through my whole entire body. Today was the day I was going to find out if I was going to America, to live.
My manager, Alexandra, who is known as Alex, text me.
Alex- You up Bell?
You- Yeah I've been up for hours, I'm wayyyy too excited for this meeting!
Alex- Yeah same. Tbh I just wanna go to La, meet a few famous guys ;)
You- omg Alex is that all you think of? Lol
Alex- don't act like u don't wanna meet hot guys, Bella
As I read that text, I laugh. She knows me better than anyone. She knows that I will drool over almost any guy... Who is 5 ft 10 to 6ft 4, brown hair, nice eyes, and, have a nice 6 pack.
You- come to mine in 10, we'll arrive together.
Alex- okay, but give me 20, I just got up.
You- okkkk, see u soon
Alex- cyaaa girlllll
It was crazy to think that my dream could be coming true, that I could be flying over to America to be apart of one of the biggest modelling agencies in the world.
while I wait for Alex, I decide to watch tv. I turn on Netflix and continue to watch stranger things. I know, that's such a basic thing to watch but you have to admit its such a great show!
I hear keys go into the door. An excited Alex swings open the door with a weirdly happy look on her face.
"Your late Alex, again," I say to her with a slight giggle.
"yeah but I have good news." She says as she's closing the door with her foot.
"ooooooooooo you brought Starbucks, yeah, I forgive you."
"mmm yeah that's good but it's not what I wanted to tell you," Alex says as she hands me my drink.
Alex sits down on the couch, facing me
"what is it?" I say taking a sip of my drink
" I think ve found a house in LA and gue..."
"We don't even know if we're going to LA yet Alex. Have you brought it?" I say as I cut her off.
"just let me finish, and no, I haven't bought it, but I've put an offer on it." She says with a smile on her face
"Ugh go ahead, but I can't believe you put an offer on a house."
"Are you gonna let me finish now?" Alex says, looking at me, with a smile.
"Yeah, go," I say
"well, as I was saying, the house is near the one and only Dolan twins!" She says with a squeal.
"oh my gosh Alex," you say as you start laughing, "only you would be able to find their location and buy a house near them"
"A thank you would be much appreciated," she says and laughs
"Haha thank you for finding a house."
"You're welcome."
We sit and talk for another hour before heading off to the meeting
"Bella Rose?" a young girl shouts out, signalling me to go into the meeting now
Alex and I get up and follow her into this large room. We're the only ones in the room but are soon followed by 3 other people, 2 women and a man. They greet us and we all sit down, Alex and I at the end of the table and the rest at the other end. I'm gonna be honest and say it was really intimidating to see them there looking very serious. They asked me a series of questions, about what I do, why I want to go to America and why I want them to represent me. In all honesty, I don't think it went very well. I was nervous and wasn't really myself. After a long hour, they sent me outside, with Alex. Now we wait. We wait for them to talk and discuss me. That's the bit I never like. When people discuss me. It not only sounds weird but I shouldn't have to prove myself to a bunch of people who think they're better thane everyone else.
After about 5 minutes that same lady calls me up, along with Alex, but this time, takes us into a different room, an office.
"Hello Bella, I know we've met before but I'd like to say my name again because you're going to have to remember me when you're all the way in America!" The head of the company says
"oh my gosh! I can't believe this! this is crazy!" I say jumping up and down with Alex
"Ha yes, well, my name is Olivia shore, as you already know and I'd like to welcome you on behalf of Mecca Worldwide Modeling agency. Now, you leave for LA in 4 days, which is Monday if you're not aware, Alex will be going with you to manage you over there but if you have any questions about anything, don't hesitate to text or call me."
After sorting everything out, we go back to my apartment to celebrate with a few glasses of wine.
Alex leaves around 9:30. Tbh I'm still in shock after what happened today. I can't believe that I'm going to fulfil my dream of being a famous model in LA! It's all coming true and it's happening so fast!
