First Nights Are Always Crazy

"Okay that's the last box!" My sister Chloe said sighing as she sat on her bed. I flopped next to her breathless. It was a busy day for us since we just moved today. From New York to London to be exact.

We probably wouldn't have moved if it wasn't for my dad. He's a pretty important doctor and he couldn't possibly pass this opportunity. On the other hand, my mom is a cop. But she still has to find work out here.

My sister and I weren't really fond of the move but we kind of had no choice. I'm Nicole Sypers. 19 years old. I have dark brown hair and brown eyes to match. My skin is kinda tan but I like it. I took the dominate genes from my mother I guess. I'm funny, love to laugh and is just a bright person.

My sister, Chloe Sypers. Is 18 and blonde. She has played soccer her whole life. Me and her kind of have a lot of the same characteristics but we are VERY different. She took the blonde hair from our dad but brown eyes from our mother. Her skin is a bit lighter than mine but I guess that's from dad.

I closed my eyes for a bit before I heard our mother calling from downstairs "Girls!" I sighed and got up along with Chloe. We made our way downstairs and to our mom. "Girls why don't you go say hi to our neighbors next door along with your father, They seem like nice young men"

I played a confused look "Young men? That house is full of boys!?" Chloe exaggerated, Our mother nodded before speaking "Yes, They all live together in a house next to us, You two better not get in any trouble this summer" She warned and I chuckled a bit. Chloe and I headed outside to meet our father.

We all walked next door to a big house. We were about to knock on the door when our dad got a phone call and turned away to go answer it. Chloe then awkwardly knocked on the door. A boy about our age opened the door muttering a few things under his breath that I couldn't really understand.

Chloe looked at me and moved closer while I moved back a bit "Uh, Hi, Im Nicole and this is Chloe, We just moved in next door and umm, W-Wanted to say hi" I said as calmly as I could. The guy nodded and said "Sorry, I'm Niall, Nice to meet you both" He said extending his hand. I took it cautiously and so did Chloe.

Chloe's P.O.V

He invited us in and Nicole and I were hesitant but decided to go. I slowly walked inside. Quickly noticing that a boy was staring at me. I wasn't sure if I should be scared or happy. Then I noticed another guy checking Nicole out as she walked inside. "Sooo how about we sit down" Niall said awkwardly. We all walked Into a huge living room.

Me being me I said I was going to the bathroom but really I was going to explore this huge house. I went upstairs and looked around. All the doors looked the same so I just went into one. I opened the door and went inside closing it. The room looked like a normal teen boy's room. I walked in further and saw a picture on a dresser across the room.

I walked to the dresser and picked it up. It showed a woman and a man standing very close to each other and they seemed happy and in love. The man looked oddly familiar I looked closer... It's dad? The man in the picture was my father. Who was that woman? When was this? I dropped the picture and it cracked when it met the floor.

I gasped and bent down. I noticed a paper on the floor, I think it fell out of the frame. I opened it up and it said "Wait till I see you, Dad" I got freaked out and heard Nicole call for me "Chloe!" I panicked and grabbed the broken frame with the note and stuffed it in the dresser. I quickly made my way out the room and down the stairs.

Nic was waiting for me by the door and I made my way next to her. She smiled at one boy before we left, He had dark hair and tan skin. He looks like a typical bad boy. Me and Nicole left and made our way back home. I for sure was going to be confused tonight.

We came back into our house and Nicole landed on the couch with a flop. I rolled my eyes and went in the kitchen to talk to mom. I sat down at the table while her back was turned, She was cooking dinner. She turned around and jumped a bit "Chloe you have me a fright!" She said and I chuckled a bit "Sorry Mom"

She smiled "What's on your mind Chlo?" She asked warmly I took a deep breath and hesitated before getting up and walking closer to her "Mom, Was dad ever m-married to someone else before you two uhh, Got together?" She played a confused look "I'm pretty sure he wasn't. Why do you ask?" I shook my head "Just wondering how my parents got together"

She nodded her head "Okay, Well go wake up Nicole, Tell her to come and eat" I started to walk out the kitchen when I stopped and turned to my mother suspiciously "How did you know Nicole was sleeping?" I asked slowly she chuckled "I always know what you guys are doing, I'm your Mother" She said stating the obvious. Creeped out I quickly walked into the living room to wake Nicole.
