I eagerly wait outside of the large high school for Grayson to finish his SAT. He was studying all day yesterday and insisted I help him. Of course I would never pass up the opportunity to spend time with him, even if it meant spending hours with our noses inside textbooks. Since I received  a perfect score on my SAT there was so much I wanted to help him memorize.

This test means a lot to him and his future, so I'm praying he focused and tried his best on it. My eyes suddenly catch a glimpse of him as he exits the building and walks over to the car. My heart beats fast as he gets into the passenger seat and grins at me.

"Hey." He leans over and kisses my cheek. "Please don't tell me you waited here for three and a half hours." He lets out a small laugh as he stares at me.

"Of course I did." I look back over to him. "I was too nervous to wait at home. How did it go?"

"I think it went well." He casually shrugs. "I think I did a lot better than last time."

I can feel my muscles relax as I let out a sigh of relief. "That's great."

"Let's hope the results are good enough for FAU." He says with a hopeful undertone to his voice.

"They will be, don't worry." I turn the car back on and pull out of the parking lot.

"You know, becoming a teacher is the perfect profession for you." He smiles at me. "You really helped me a lot yesterday."

"It's something I always wanted to do." I grin as I head back to the house. "I can't wait to pursue it more in college."

"I'm sending in my application on Monday." He explains as he looks out the window.

"I haven't heard back from anyone." I lowly sigh.

"Mads don't even stress about it, you're going to get in." He turns his head back to look at me.

I nod slowly as I try not to let negative thoughts escape my mind. "You too." I quickly respond.

"Anthony wants us to meet him at Ocean Side in twenty minutes to celebrate my SAT." He looks down at his phone. "Do you want to go?"

"Of course." I lightly laugh. "Why wouldn't I?'

"It's your last day in town." Grayson shrugs. "Are you sure you don't want to do something else?"

"I don't care what we do, I just want to be with you." I grin while pulling into our driveway. "Getting milkshakes at Ocean Side and hanging out with Anthony sounds good to me."

Grayson nods and gets out of the car. I open up the front door and step inside of the comfortable house. "I'm glad you're feeling better." I add with a small smile.

"Me too." He nods as he stares down at me.

My father's voice from the kitchen makes my skin jump as he calls out our names. "Good, you guys are home." He stands in the doorway with a sly grin plastered on his goofy face. "I have a surprise for Grayson."

"For me?" Grayson's voice is filled with confusion as he heads toward the kitchen.

"Yup, it's sort of an early birthday present." My father sits back down at the table and looks at the computer screen. "I just booked three plane tickets for three whole weeks in the big apple."

"What?!" I beam with excitement. "No way."

"Really?" A huge grin appears on Grayson's face. "Wait, what do you mean three?"

"You, Anthony and me of course." My father winks up at me.

"You're coming too?" I can feel my heart racing with excitement.
