Elle's P.O.V.

I woke with a start. I was curled up on the front seat of Peter's car. My joints ached from the position I had been sleeping in and my mind was completely blank. The car was moving at a rapid speed. I glanced up at Peter, he had his hands gripped so tightly on the steering wheel that I could see the veins in his knuckles. He looked irritable. He didn't look back at me, he just stared with narrowed eyes at the winding road ahead. I sat up and turned around to find the back seat empty.

"Where's Juliette?" I asked, my voice raspy with sleep. I turned my head to the side and my neck clicked loudly. I winced at the odd sensation then it disappeared.

"She... Erm... I dropped her off at your house." He muttered. His eyes were calmer and his face had softened. I didn't bother to protest or ask any further questions. It would cause arguments and that was the last thing any of us needed. I recognised the driveway leading to Peter's house as we approached it. Dusk was falling and a few stars were visible across the inky sky. We couldn't have gone all the way home and then gotten here so fast...

"Was she alright?" I finally asked. It was only natural for me to be worried about her. We were still best friends.

"She was fine. Forget about her." He insisted. So he wasn't totally relaxed. "How are you feeling?" He changed the subject.

"I'm alright." I said slowly as I tried to fully recall what had happened that day. I had gone to Peter's, Peter hit Harry, Zayn had taken Peter away to calm him down, Louis and Liam had taken me upstairs, Jules hit Peter, something else... I gave up thinking and let my head fall back. I felt the car stop and Peter got out swiftly. He went around the car and opened my door for me. Before I could get on my feet he scooped me up in his arms. "I have legs you know." I snapped.

"And lovely ones too. But I think you deserve to be waited on tonight." Peter grinned, kissing the tip of my nose and making me smile at his cuteness. He carried me to the porch and tapped the door with his foot. It creaked open. "Don't you lock the front door?"

"Not when the house keeper is in." He laughed heartily. The house was warm and inviting, with it's grand furnishings and sweet aroma. It was the kind of house that would be seen in a home magazine or on television. "Her shift is almost over. She doesn't speak very much English." I smiled in response and Peter carried me up the stairs to his bedroom. He placed me down onto his huge bed and my phone slipped out of my pocket.

"Oops." I picked it up to see that I had two missed calls from Juliette's mum's house phone. My face twisted in confusion as I held the phone to my ear to call her back. In the corner of my vision I noticed Peter's eyes widen and he swiftly took the phone out of my hand and hung up. My hand was still propped up by my face. "Erm... What?"

"Forget about her. Forget everything. It's just you and me." He purred. Once again, I didn't bother to protest. "Elle I'm so sorry about everything that has happened today. I wasn't fair to you, none of us were. But will you promise me one thing?" He looked at me from underneath his thick eyelashes. I glanced downwards and I could see his abs through his tight t-shirt. They made me feel dizzy and I felt saliva pool inside my mouth. I slightly cocked my head to one side and brushed my hair out of my face shyly.

"I'm sorry, what?" I shook my head out of the daydream.

"I said, will you promise me something?" He leaned down so that we were eye to eye. I knew what was coming. What else would Peter want me to promise him?

"Peter, I don't love Harry. I guess I just thought I loved him. I don't know why. Because I don't. We're meant to be friends and that's all. Maybe not even friends. Maybe just... people who know each other. Not even that...maybe..." I realised I was babbling. Now I sounded like I was lying. "What I mean is..." I began.
